Old Florida Hidden Gem

Found this gem and so glad we did. Lakefront room was super cozy, bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything needed. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The pontoon boat ride was a plus taking in the scenery. Great restaurants within a short driving distance. Pool was clean with lots of loungers to relax. We will definitely be back! Thanks Tropical Resort for a relaxing stay!

This is a cabin/bungalow that has not been updated in many years. The appliances and furniture are old, from the 1960s would be my quest. The Hotels.com rating is too high for this property. My rating would be a 4 or 5

The room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. The walls were extremely thin as we could hear the people’s movie, music, and conversation in the room next door. The property is part camping/RV and part motel. It is also very far away from any stores or restaurants.

Great getaway hotel away from the city.

Excellent little hotel away from the city. It's quiet and peaceful here. If you are looking for a relaxing place to get some good rest or for a romantic getaway, this is it. It sits at the end of a road, so no traffic anywhere close, no bars nearby. Only thing you hear at night its owls in the distance and the wind.

The property was great! The staff was excellent I wish I was here under better circumstances we were fleeing Gulfport to escape Hurricane Milton. If you like a Old Florida retro vibe, this is your place. Clean well maintained and close to so much! The staff and owners were top drawer! If you want to immerse yourself in 1950s Florida experience this is your place.

Old School Florida.

Old School Florida ! Just what we were looking for. Rooms are simple, clean and descent. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Grounds are well kept..Some remodeling/Roof replacement was going on but this did not disturb us. Overall we would recommend it.

Resort is Old Florida Style! Surrounded by oak trees dripping with Spanish moss with a beautiful lake as your backdrop. Pontoon boat rentals, little store in the office. Staff is extremely friendly. It’s a true gem that brings you back to being on a lake as a kid. We will definitely be coming back for more weekend getaways.
