I stayed recently and had a mixed experience. The hotel is in a great location and very close to a station, restaurants, and is a short walk from most attractions. The staff were really welcoming and attentive. The hotel offers a Cozy hour which is a great way to enjoy a free drink and relax but not something I made use of often. However, unfortunately the room didn't meet my expectations. I booked a medium room and the room was smaller than anticipated and seemed a little worn down, particularly the carpet. The room I stayed in backed off onto a courtyard where there was a restaurant and people eating and this did create some smells in the room which couldn't be aired out by opening the windows. The shower room and toilet was a tiny wet room cubicle which was somewhat difficult to navigate. The breakfast was lovely and served in the nearby hotel but I think it would have been nice to have a few more warm food options available. Overall, the stay had its positives but I felt it didn't quite meet my expectations based on the price and the four star rating.

We returned from a lovely 4 night stay in beautiful Copenhagen. The hotel is in a great location, walkable to many attractions and only a 2 minute walk to the fantastic Torvehallerne food market which was great for coffee or breakfast. Our room was clean and comfortable, although was fairly small and starting to look a little dated. The hotel staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, an asset to the hotel.

The property is a short walking distance to the train station, there is a huge, beautiful market with a wide range of food choices and a grocery store within a block of the hotel. Restaurants, shopping, tourist attractions are all within walking distance, we never called a taxi or Uber the 3 days we were there. The hotel does not have air conditioning, the room windows open and fans are available, with the fans on the street and restaurant noise from below is lessened. There is a cozy hour in the afternoon where you can get a wine, beer or soft drink compliments of the hotel.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly on our last day we ordered a taxi for a fixed price through the hotel and the taxi driver was going to charge us more than agreed a member of staff spoke with the driver in English so we could understand as well and she reminded him it was fixed. Brilliant as no one likes getting ripped off. Thank you.

Very close to transportation, Tivoli Gardens, small cafes, restaurants and other shops. Some of the hotel seems a little tired but in all it is pretty good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This hotel is a good location. The front desk crew were great! The room is small and might be an issue if staying more than a night or two. They will store your luggage and have free locked boxes near the front desk if needed. It is reasonably close to the metro system.

An easy walk from both the nearest metro station and city centre, the hotel was both very clean and welcoming. Breakfast was at it adjoining King Arthur Hotel and that was with fresh breads, juices, pastries on a continental breakfast basis Room was small in comparison to some but that and wet room style toilet/shower room functional in purpose Only issue was roadside noise from morning deliveries if you wanted a lay in as breakfast served till 10:30 A nice place - I would go back there!

My daughter and I had a four night stay at The Ibsen Hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and our room was spotlessly clean. The hotel is brilliantly located for walking just about anywhere you'd want to visit. There is a farmers market just across the street where we had a delicious lunch a couple of times The downside for us was that there was noise coming from the restaurant/bar across the road until 2am and then some sort of machinery started up at 6.30am. It was very hot but we had to have the windows closed which meant we did not sleep very well. The double glazing is extremely effective at cutting out all the noise from outside so, if you are staying in the cooler months, this would not be a problem. Also, the hotel could do with upgrading the bed linen which was very scratchy which did not help with our sleep. Definitely a good choice for a night or two and we felt very safe.

Our stay at Ibsens was superb. Perfect for seasoned travellers who enjoy the simple elegance of Danish hospitality. Staff were friendly, rooms were comfortable (we had a king size bed in a medium sized room) and cozy hour was a treat. Great part of town close to a wonderful food market.
