Its a lovely hotel, with a great lobby, public spaces - and ok rooms. They did a nice job renovating it 10 years ago - but it's an old building, with plenty of noise from upstairs rooms. Great location, ok physical plant - nice people.

Boutique hotel with excellent location

The best thing about this hotel is its excellent location - jist next to Nyhavn and Amelienborg Palace. Very convenient for sightseeing. Room is spacious with eco friendly facilities and amenities. Breakfast is served either in the courtyard or in the salon. You can also dine outside the hotel al fresco.

The front desk was very kind and helpful. Easy walk to central Copenhagen, Nyhavn, and the waterfront where you’ll find the Little Mermaid statue. Breakfast was good. From 10:30-1500 (I believe :)) there is a little cafe on the first floor with outdoor seating, it becomes a restaurant in the evening. The cafe makes the best cappuccino we had on our trip, especially if you get one of the cookies they make and dunk it in the drink. I think that’s what I miss most about Copenhagen.

Very nice property. The pillows were terrible, but the staff kindly found some decent pillows for us to use with no hassle. I have nothing but nice things to say about this hotel (except maybe vary your pillows in the rooms, all of the ones in the room to start were soft and flat, terrible pillows for side sleepers).

Maybe because we are Asians?

We looked forward to our stay but this was not to be from the start - we were made to endure a cumbersome online check-in process and even had to download an app. The concierge (blonde hair above shoulders) then told us dismissively to check our room number via the app and to use it to access our room. However, the app was faulty and the same concierge grudgingly gave us a physical card. But all the other guests used physical cards? Despite being rated 4 stars by hotelstars.eu, the hotel didnt meet these criteria: no pillow menu, only one chair, no side table and didnt provide bedroom slippers on demand. It is egregious how the hotel tried to game this - the same blonde hair staff told us that the hotel only had 1 pair of slippers when we asked for 2. We asked for a 2nd pair the next evening and a curly dirty blonde hair concierge gave the same excuse. A hotel with 100+ rooms ran out of slippers? The concierge (shoulder length blonde hair) told us that we were entitled to complimentary breakfast when we asked on 1 May. We also double checked with the restaurant staff. No one told us otherwise when we went for breakfast over the next 5 days; we’re simply asked to pay when we checked out on 4 May. The concierge sarcastically replied “Thats a lot of breakfasts.” when we explained. We paid anyway. I’ve travelled extensively in Europe and Asia for work and personal but never have I been treated so shamefully. The only reason I can think of – maybe because I am Asian?

Great family stay

Beautiful hotel in a great location. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children (6 and 4 yo) and stayed in the penthouse. The pull out double bed was perfect for the kids. The space was great and backed on to a nice rooftop garden terrace. The honesty bar was a nice touch. The breakfast was fantastic. Proximity to the 26 bus for trips to Tivoli, Zoo and Central Station was perfect for us.

Excellent location close to Nyhavn and public transport options. Room was small but ok for three nights as we didn’t need to spend much time in it. Enjoyed Wine Club on Good Friday, not sure how often they do it or if it was a one off, but was appreciated. Didn’t get a chance to go up to the roof terrace, but heard from others it was nice up there. Meet our needs very well.

The hotel is super well located and breakfast is excellent (although it gets busy so go early or book!) Rooms have everything you need. It feels a little like being on a ship as corridors are narrow and everything slopes but we had a great experience and would stay again.
