We were surprised at check-in that we were required to pay a parking fee to park in the hotel parking lot. Then we arrived in the breakfast area to find it dark and empty. When we inquired at the front desk the employee there made several phone calls and finally said the breakfast staff did not show up for work. We asked for a partial refund. The manager finally appeared. The employee tried to explain the issue but he walked right past her and us and into his office without even acknowledging any of us. Contacted Holiday Inn Express and was told although that is not the level of service they strive for, they would not do anything for us.

The place was super nice. The bed was completely comfortable. My only suggestion is I wish the front desk would ask for ID when giving replacement key cards.

Broken faucet knob, hidden fees, and poor customer service. When coming into Columbus, this was our go to hotel but this will be the last time. We always book a room with a Jacuzzi and was informed at arrival time there was an extra deposit for the Jacuzzi room, this being our third time at this hotel with said Jacuzzi room, and was never told about an extra deposit. Service desk said there has always been a 100.00 cash deposit for these rooms but it is now 200.00. I explained we’ve been getting these rooms since 2023 and never had to pay deposit. So either this is something new or in the past times an employee was not informed of this/ doing their job properly. It would also take several tries to get the room keys to work.

My reservation was canceled before arriving at the property. They said it was due to my credit card declining but I never got a notification that my credit card declined. They did have another room but it was not the same so I really didn't think too much of it until the next day went on the elevator to other customers had the same complaint about their suites being canceled and given regular rooms. The shower was Dripping all night and it still dripping and had to put towels down to stop it. The bathroom floor still had caked dirt on it. The breakfast was nice and so was the staff. The room was decent for the price.

Super nice staff, very clean and comfortable rooms. Wifi was hard to connect to because they don't clarify which network is theirs and due to there being several businesses and hotels in the area, it's hard to figure out. Small issue in an otherwise lovely stay!
