The rooms were set up like a dorm room, and your room key is a student ID card. That's neat! It's downtown within walking distance of just about anything you need. Valet parking is available, but no free parking. All in all pretty cool for a Gen X'er like myself.
The whole theme was nicely done and very unique——the dining room with the instruments as lighting was great the staff was really friendly and helpful

The hotel and room were amazing. the valet and front desk staff absolutely amazing. The guy that opens the Homage on Sunday morning the 19th of October was horrible. We were there to watch our daughter run in the marathon and when he opened at 9 refused to make us drinks and said all he was serving was coffee.
My experience was absolutely terrible. Check in was fine, the young lady was polite and efficient. Went up to my room, put my things in the bathroom and started checking the beds to my surprise there was a bug on the bed frame next to the mattress. I do have pictures. I called downstairs and let them know. They said they'll put me in a new room. Went downstairs got the keys for the new room and went back up to 603. This room smelled like i was walking into an ashtray. The room was so strong my clothes started smelling like cigarettes. Went back downstairs apologized for the complaints. She said they were sold out and couldn't move me anymore. Their remedy was to have maintenance put in an ozone machine for 30mins. I met the maintenance man upstairs, he also reeks of cigarettes and confirmed the room did smell pretty strong. He started the ozone machine and we both left. I showed him the picture of the bug and assumed it looked like an earwig bug. I had to leave for a business dinner because I was here for work. Went to dinner came back, room still smelled terrible. They advised there was nothing they could do. My room was booked for 2 nights. I asked could they transfer me to a sister property as i didn't feel comfortable staying there. They did find rooms available at Hilton Dwntwn Columbus but it was going to be an uncharge of $285 per night.
Probably the most unprofessional front desk staff I have ever encountered. Even (or especially) the managers. Their inability to resolve even simple issues (or to even care) is astounding. Everyone is dressed in street clothes and their demeanor matches their appearance.
Other issues with the hotel include poorly functioning elevators, exorbitant "valet" parking (you actually park yourself rather than someone taking your car to another location) with a "gotcha" since the prices are not visably advertised or communicated, no laundry/drycleaning service available (or at least no information sheet in the closet and none available upon request at the front desk). There is also no business center and no hotel bar.
On the bright side, the design of the rooms is pretty cool. But all the negatives combined make it a place I would never stay at again.
