Hotel was very accessible and had plenty of parking. Location was very convenient for dining and shopping. That being said, it was mediocre when it came to cleanliness and maintenance. Our reservation indicated that 3 people would be staying in the room and so there weren't enough towels available when we checked in. When we requested more towels from the front desk, we were not given what we asked for. The towel on the bathroom floor had boot marks on it and the top sheet on one of the beds also had some marks on it. At least the floors appeared to be vacuumed and there were no bedbugs. Lastly half of the lamps in the room were not working. Overall, this hotel has a convenient location and is okay to stay in if you won't be in your room for most of the time.

It was Fine by Me

Parking was easy, right in front of the hotel. The place was clean, breakfast was the typical hotel free breakfast of waffles, hot/cold cerals, muffins and breads. The pool was closed as stated by many previous reviews of it always being closed for maintenance.

The first room they put us in, had the smoke detector taken out and the electrical wires hanging down, the floors were coming up and/or pieces chipping off in both of our rooms.The lamps were rusted and the shades were broken.The toilet was not bolted down.

The pool looked fine but was closed. The hallway carpet was worn but not horrible. I didn’t smell smoke anywhere. The door latch in our room was missing but you could lock the door. The lamp and the toilet roll holder were both metal and were rusty. The shower curtain was yellowish at the bottom. The room was clean, plenty of towels that were thick enough (not paper thin), hot water for a shower, tub insert looked good, beds were comfortable, sheets and pillows seemed fine, refrigerator was cool, chair looked newer in our room, and walls/decor typical hotel. The breakfast attendant replenished food at 840. The eggs and sausages were typical for hotel. The waffle maker was good and I had yogurt and bananas. The hotel seems to cater to construction vehicles and staff. There were more cars with out of town parents for parent weekend at OWU. This visit room was facing street vs the rooms facing the woods and felt safer. Last time 4-5 men out back smoked often outside my room window. The staff member who checked us in didn’t seem too happy and no one was at the desk when we checked out around 730 am. I don’t think the hotel deserves a one star - there are definitely worse hotels out there. This hotel is more 2.5 stars. I felt uncomfortable alone but as a couple felt better. Parking was plentiful and the air conditioner worked fine - typical wall unit. My first room did have mold under sink and no heater in bathroom. Second time heater worked in bathroom-no mold.

Room was very outdated. Drywall peeling in bathroom & paint missing in areas. Floor coming apart. Baseboards are all stained like water leak. Not nice at all.No soap in the room. Would never stay at this one again.

Hot tub and pool were closed for maintenance. Bathroom tile cracked. Mirror missing from door. No threshold from room to hall. No threshold from room to bathroom. Very dated. Bed was comfortable and clean.

We checked in late (around midnight) and no one was at reception. No number to call. We waited 10 minutes for someone to come to the front. After checking in we went to our room and found only 2 towels. Went back to the front desk and asked for more towels and was told that there are no more towels because the hotel is sold out. The parking lot was not even half full. After telling him that there were 4 of us and only 2 towels, he said he would find us towels. He came back with 2 but I suspect they were dirty as all of the towels had stains on them. Bedding also was dirty. Bathtub and toilet had hairs in them and did not seem clean. Smoke detector was removed from the room. Parking lot was dirty, a lot of garbage. People were parked in the parking lot at night, seemed suspicious. Beds were in terrible shape, noisy and soft. Just a terrible place, avoid this one

I've stayed at this property twice in the past couple months and both times the pool was "under maintenence". The hard floors in the rooms were sticky and didn't feel clean at all. The staff was friendly enough but the overall experience wasn't the best.

Reading reviews I also checked out as soon as we arrived. However the room was clean, sheets/bedding normal for a hotel, shower was functional with hot water, and floors were clean. On one baseboard under sink was moldy and yellow. There were several large trucks - service vehicles in the parking lot. Dogs are allowed here and we heard barking once or twice but not at night. The breakfast was ok. Waffle maker and bananas. The eggs and sausage looked typical for a buffet at a hotel. The pool was closed. I heard there will be new owners. I booked because close to OWU. I’m a bit concerned that we lucked out with a decent room. We have a trip planned to return in sept for a higher price and I’m a little worried. It is a nonrefundable booking so we will have to wait and see. We did stay previously at the quality inn down the road. I may return there with the next trip. I don’t see many other options close to the OWU campus. Hopefully the new owners will provide some reassurances as some of the reviews here are a bit worrisome.

Check in was easy. Staff was nice. Although i made a reservation for 2 adults, there was only 1 complete set of towels. Parking was easy and plentiful. Breakfast was lackluster. Room was comfortable and bed was nice.

Hotel was disgusting, dirty moldy smelling. Pool area was filled with so much chlorine. In chemical, the water was cloudy surrounded by plants that were mostly dead and filled in with oh greenery. Exposed insulation and duck work even nearer coffee area. There were large stains on carpet throughout the hotel, it was clear hotel has not been properly serviced or maintained at any recent point of time. Cracked tiles cracked buttons, chipping paint, evident everywhere, but minor compared to moldy smells. Water damage to walls et cetera. The staff was kind enough, but definitely used to the problems. I was told by multiple members that management, our owner does not care to improve service ore property. Would never recomend.
