Excellent retro motel stay

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room is simple, and it has a few 'wrinkles" in the property due to it's age....but it's great for a 1-2 night stay. The location is perfect for everything in the Manitou area, even walking distance to the main town area with restaurants and shopping. We would stay here again.

Overall we enjoyed the quaintness of the motel. The sleeping area of the room was very nice very clean very well kept up. The bathroom was uncomfortable to use. The shower and toilet area was too confining. There were no hooks to hang your towel up to dry or your clothes to not get wet. The water situation was awful. It would turn cold in an instant and then back to hot in an instant. One of the trash cans was not emptied. We had a room on the second floor and taking the stairs up with luggage was almost impossible. The stairs are too steep and too narrow for luggage to be easily carried up.

Meagan and all fo the staff were exceptionally warm and responsive to any request for help during my stay and exploring the local sites. I also liked that it is a smaller place that seemed to attract quiet and friendly guests.
