Nice budget hotel, but the deposit...

The hotel was great, a nice clean room, although double rather than queen beds, good service, typical hotel buffet breakfast, etc. The only thing I didn't like is that rather than put a hold on our card for the incidentals, they charge the card for the full amount ($150), and then "release" it after you leave, which means you may not get the money back for a few days. That's a problem for my family, when we're already tight on funds.

Our room was not completely clean, including gum in the carpet, and was definitely run down (chips in the paint, and doors, etc). The previous occupant(s) had covered up the smoke detector and took the power cord for the tv. The maintenance guy who came in to fix the tv was friendly.

There is a fee to check in early. The lobby with complementary water and coffee were empty for over 3 hours. Rooms are very aged with soiled carpets. No modern electronic adapters/ devices. Holes in the lobby ceiling. Spider webs with their catch in the corner of my room. Pool is only open seasonally.

The place was nice for the price, decent options for breakfast, but the room was not cleaned well. The there was hair around the bath tub/shower, looked like blood on the curtains on the window looking outside, looks like someone had a birthday party in there and there was silly string on the walls and just doesn’t make me feel like they cleaned the room with any attention to it

Not a place I would ever stay again. For one the hold they put on your card is a hard charge never has that ever happened. Then the room has blood on the walls and ceiling, there was either an overdose or attempted suicide in the room next to us and to top it off there were people talking loudly until 4am. Not a good experience.
