Typical, cheap hotel

The hotel was typical of a low end, cheap motel. The hallway carpet was very dirty; there was an odd smell throughout the halls. The bedding was stained; one pillow had a dirty footprint on it. The shower head was not adjustable and only let a little through the holes, so it felt like needles on your skin, and you had to hold it close to your skin to feel the water. I guess that is one way to save on the water bill! The towels were yellowed, stained, very thin and rough. Breakfast was okay but the area was dirty, there was no one cleaning as people left tables. The pool was nice, small and shallow, but clean and refreshing. The staff were friendly and tried to meet our request, but there was a language barrier (they did not speak or understand English very well).

I have never in my life ever felt unsafe at a hotel until this stay! It’s filthy. A child ( 9-10 year old ) was running the front desk the next morning. Black mold, leaking air conditioner, dirty mirrors, carpet, strange smell, just an absolute mess. I should have saved the money and slept in my car.

The rooms look nothing like there website said ot even this app. Outside doors are broke so easily can let non guest in. The pool is great. The customer services is great as well. The rooms are not the cleanest and has broken stuff all in it. And we dound a rouch in the microwave.

Ouside doors wouldnt close. Or lock. People hanging out in parking lot all jight. People smoking pot smoke outside hotel and inside the smell was overwhemling . It was rated as an 8, But it was definately not above a 6. Proably should have 4 stars. It was grimey. And unclean. Bugs inside room. I worried about my daughter and my safety and couldn't sleep. Police were called to the hotel in the morning.

Despite clean bedsheets and towels, which DOES NOT happen in every hotel I've stayed, general cleanliness in the entire place was questionable and below average. All I wanted the next morning was to leave. Wouldn't stay again or recommend to others.

The hotel room was very spacious with a nice bed and bathroom which could easily earn itself a 5 star rating if kept clean. Because of dirtiness, I barely want to give it a 2 star rating. I hate uncleanliness!

Crap Hotel and Customer Service!

We booked online and requested connecting rooms, handicap accessable. When checking in, they did not have any of that info and our rooms were on opposite sides of the hotel. We had 2 seniors at 80+ years old, and a alztimers person with me. It was very inconvenient for us. I asked for them to help out and they didn't seem concerned and said we sometimes don't get the info. Then why offer it! They didn't even try to help out. When getting to our rooms, they were dirty, and needed plenty of TLC along with a freshen up. Looks like the owners were new to this and had no clue. I even looked in the area for a new hotel but everything was booked. I was going to call my credit card company to cancel the charge I was so mad, but needed a place for us since we were driving for 6 hours and were just tired. I will never use Super 8 again for my travel stays and will let my friends know this also.

I stay here often. I like the proximity and quite honesty the price. I bring my own cleaning supplies and clean the room when i get here each time. The bed was clean upon arrival and the room smelled on the cleaner side. Floors were definitely not washed but at least its not carpet! The staff is normally always very friendly. There is one exception but she doesnt ruin the vibe for me. Breakfast...hmm if you like water for coffee then its not bad and with the price i cant complain. (There is a gas station a quick drive away) I will be back...armed as always with my clorox wipes and bleach. (I do that at every hotel anyway) Btw they are renovating, the hallways haven't been vaccumed since....well who knows. . I wouldnt go bare foot..even in the rooms lol. The side doors seem to always be propped open, F for safety in that respect

Cheap for a Reason

We checked in, and checked right back out. The condition of the hotel is terrible, dirty, stained, people living there, broken furniture stacked everywhere in the front and back. I went into the bathroom after the sticky stained stairwell (no elevator) to wash my hands and there was a bra hanging in the shower. It was not somewhere I felt safe bringing a child so we checked out immediately.

Grossest hotel room of my life

This was the nastiest hotel room I have ever stayed in; it literally hadn't been cleaned except to change sheets and towels and empty the trash cans. The hallway floor, room floor and breakfast room floor looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in weeks, same for dusting, the bathroom mirror had sprays of green liquid on it, there was someone else's used soap and hair in the shower (which also had no hot water), it was missing a light bulbs in the bed lamp, the sheets were ink-stained, the mattress had a LARGE brown stain, the "white" lampshades were yellowed with age and there was a big that looked like a tick on my pillow. Do not stay here!!! Didn't include pics b/c I don't want to inflict that on anyone!

Not a clean, well-kept hotel

Our room had to be changed 3 times. 1st room had a leak, 2nd room had someone else in it, 3rd room was ok. Hallways were very dirty, not sure when they were last vacuumed. Toilet did not flush right. Took 2-3 times to flush it. Counter staff responded quickly to changing rooms. We would have gone somewhere else if we hadn't already paid for it.

Stay somewhere else!

3 night stay - July 3rd - 6th - Old furniture was stacked up everywhere outside of the building. The rooms smelled of smoke, we were told these were not smoking rooms. The top linens of the beds had cigarette burn holes - the rooms in general were not clean. The hallway carpet was heavily stained, hallways had a bad odor. Rooms felt damp. The breakfast was nothing exciting, but it would have been helpful if staff was regularly cleaning and restocking items throughout the service time. All issues were address with front desk. No action was taken. The place is disgusting and in desperate need of a DEEP CLEANING. Any review that says otherwise, I would not want to see what the inside of their own home looks like. We would have moved to another hotel, but with the holiday weekend there was no availiablity. The city of O'fallon needs to take a walk around this place. and code enforce a clean up
