A beautiful grand hotel with very welcoming staff, manager, reception and bar staff could not have been more helpful. We stayed in a dog friendly room, the bed was super comfortable with views countryside views. Breakfast was delivered to our room and fresh and delicious. The grounds around the hotel are stunning. We will definitely stay again when in the area.

Our “executive “ room was small and dark with no shelves or drawers to put anything in only a cavernous hanging wardrobe. Air con unit on the wall was noisy but efficient though it did produce a curious groaning noise every twenty minutes or so. No room to move around the room at all. Positives were comfortable bed and plenty of hot water. Service on the terrace and in breakfast was slow and a bit chaotic. Drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive and breakfast coffee and eggs were ordered three times before they appeared. Not impressed with the 12.5 percentage service charge on top of already pricy drinks.

We booked the Woodlands Park based on the reviews of the Staff/Team there. We were not disappointed! Everyone was professional and friendly. Ray, Ashya and George were particularly helpful! Thank you ! We stayed in a Junior Suite which was a little dated, not keen on the Purple but that’s a personal preference, but it was very clean and a had comfy bed. The room was well equipped with an Iorn,kettle, mini fridge and toiletries etc. We would definitely stay again. Woodlands is a period property, with lots of character and a fabulous decorative glass ceiling.
