Close to everything. Gorgeous view of the lake and a beautiful rainbow. Wow! Friendly staff. Weird doors on the bathroom. Sliding doors tend to be noisy and unwieldy in general and this one was bad. That’s my only complaint.

I recently stayed at the Viceroy Hotel with high expectations based on its reputation for luxury and hospitality. While the property itself is visually stunning and well-maintained, the service unfortunately did not meet the standard I anticipated. From check-in to check-out, there were several missed opportunities to deliver the kind of attentive and seamless experience one expects from a Viceroy-branded hotel. Staff interactions felt rushed and impersonal, and requests—whether for basic amenities (a blanket in this case for my son) or assistance especially lack of service at the pool and 18th floor bar—were often delayed or overlooked entirely. Communication between departments seemed disjointed, which added unnecessary friction to what should have been a relaxing stay. It’s disappointing because the hotel clearly has the potential to offer a world-class experience. With more focus on staff training, responsiveness, and guest engagement, it could truly live up to its brand promise. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements. I would love to return in the future and see a noticeable difference.
