Hotel Ivy Sucks

The room was freezing and they would not move us the first night. The second night we were finally moved after midnight. The next morning the hotel was trying to rush us out even after we were extremely inconvenienced. I have asthma so the extreme cold triggered an asthma attack. The hotel could care less and said letting us check out late was enough concession.

Someone else mentioned it and I didn’t read until after my stay unfortunately, no bar no rooftop bed damn near on floor and it was some loud ass people and no one would answer for me to ask for them to call that room… I’m not talking 11pm loud more 3-4 am loud. So not quiet curfew huge nice rooms so party friendly if that’s what you looking for

Basic hotel. Deceiving website.

I have never given a review before but I was so disappointed in what we got compared to the description I had to. Basic hotel. Nice decor in rooms but essentially sleeping on a mattress on the floor. So uncomfortable. Only a fitted sheet and a comforter. TV in bathroom didn't work. No room service as described. "Bar" in the lobby..not sure if it's ever been open. Rarely saw anyone at the front desk to ask questions. Felt left to your own devices to figure everything out. Do not believe the website, do your own research.

The property has no bar, no restaurant, no breakfast, no coffee in the lobby. I booked a king suite with a city view and I got a handicapped room with a view of an alley/fire escape. They are advertising amenities that don’t exist at the property. It’s false advertising. Even their hotel website is advertising false amenities. The hotel was very noisy. People were calling the hotel and walking in the hotel for refunds. They were told only one manager could do it.

Worn down. Mattress saggy. No heat or hot water.

Rooms are outdated and very worn down. Last renovation 20+ years ago. Everything is scuffed, chipped, broken, torn (floors, doors, curtains, etc).Tub had mold around it. Bed mattress is old and saggy (I slept sideways in the foot area because the top was so worn and sagging). Sofa was filthy and saggy. The hot water fluctuated cold/warm, and "warm" was body temp at best. Too cold to even wash my hair. It is winter and the room temp wouldn't get above 66F, even with heat running on high. The mini fridge motor was so loud and rattles the whole wet bar area, I had to sleep with ear plugs. The window faced the alley, no sunlight, nothing, just a view of a fire escape and tons of dumpsters. We stayed in room 402. This hotel was nice at one point. Not anymore. The location was good. The staff were ok.
