This is a hotel for all occasions. Family's visiting Chicago, business travelers and events of all sizes. My family was there to visit the Art institute of Chicago; this was just a 10 to 15 min walk from the hotel. The river tours are within a 5 min walk. There are a large number of restaurants including Pizzaria Portofino, Giordano's, The purple pig, Ghirardelli's and Billy Goat Tavern. The room we stayed in had 2 queens and was quite large, comfortable and had all the regular features. A plus for family's was it had a separate shower and a bathtub. If you're looking for event rooms, I only passed by, but the number of event rooms and facilities looked very impressive, numerous and well organized. I would highly recommend staying here.

The hotel is in a prime location. We were upgraded to a newly renovated suite. The wallpaper had bubbles and was looking like it was going to peel. I would hate to see how it looked before. There was dust in the airways and it had a really bad smell. Tomato sauce was all over the phone and table I had to go buy wipes and clean everything. The doorman provided excellent service and made us feel safe. The Starbucks was awesome. I would say clean the vents and fix the walls and smells and it would be much better.
