My stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown Riverwalk was average — nothing particularly memorable, but nothing major to complain about either. The location is definitely the highlight: it’s conveniently situated near the Riverwalk, Millennium Park, and several restaurants and shops, which made exploring the city easy.
The room was clean and reasonably comfortable. The bed was on the firm side — not uncomfortable, plenty of pillows. Basic amenities like a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker were appreciated. Elevators were odd; a lot of time was spent waiting for them.
Staff interactions were fine; some were friendly and helpful, others seemed indifferent. Check-in and check-out went smoothly.
Overall, if you’re looking for a no-frills, centrally located place to crash while you’re out and about in Chicago, this hotel does the job. The location is perfect.
