They really should add shampoo, conditioner & body wash dispensers in the shower. The small plastic bottles and bar soap weren't enough for 3 people plus it would be better for the environment!

The hotel was clean, the breakfast was good with really tasty bacon and a good variety of options. The property was excellent. My only problem was that I booked the room fir 2 days via Expedia online however Expedia only forwrded payment to the hotel for 1 day. My credit card was charged for the 2 day stay in advance. The front desk staff caught the issue during check in and extended my stay so i wasn't ot on the street, but i had to pay thrm directly for the 2nd night at $525. Now I have to attempt to get a refund from Expedia for the 2nd night I alredy paid for in advance.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The location is great! Easy access, one block off Michigan Ave & there is plenty of great food options within a few steps of the hotel. The gym is well stocked with options and the lobby decor is very cool. The rooms themselves are a little out dated, the toilet paper holder was broken and the toilet paper was dirty when we arrived. They do not provide house keeping cleaning until the end of your stay, we were there for 3 nights. They AC won’t go less then 68 so if you get hot at night bring a fan. The door handle looked like someone had tried to kick the door in at some point. (Pic) The most disappointing experience here was the front desk staff. They were all rude and unfriendly. Never said hello when we walked in, seemed bothered to ask anything about the city or hotel and we paid a lot of money to stay there. Only one staff member (wish I got his name) was slightly friendly/helpful on day 3 for us. I probably won’t stay there again just due to the lack of hospitality. It’s really not hard to smile and be friendly to people.

Mistakenly booked thinking this was part of Marriott's luxury collection. It is not. Lobby is somewhat cool looking but rooms are drab, shabby, and not very clean. Tolietries are budget, breakfast is mid, and all the extra "service" fees provide no benefit. Total joke - the hotel is trying to appear lux but fails while simultaneously nickle and dining with profit squeezing fees. Stay away.

The hotel itself is beautiful, but the mandatory “guest benefits package” is a scam should be optional. They tell you about it and it basically consists of stuff you will never probably need or use and hand you an overpriced gift bag that contains 6 bottles of nestle pure life water. I’d rather get a discount on the 75$ parking fee. Location is great for being close to soldiers field , but next time I’ll stay out of the city and pay higher uber fees to go to a concert.

The fees they charge on top of your stay are insane. They charged me fees on top of my night that I booked. The toilet seat was broken and there was a dried contact on the counter when we got there. They offered everyone else free drinks and breakfast and when I asked she said I didn’t pay for that but I sure felt like I paid for it. My keys would not work either and I went to the front desk and that guy so hateful. There a brochure in the room that says free soda the bar from 4 to 6 and I asked he rolled his eyes and said we don’t offer that. My experience was not great. I would not go back.

Disappointed

I was never given my deposit back. Stayed for 2 nights and cleaned the room before checking out. Had to be moved initially because fire detector was low battery and chirping because they had no batteries or an on site staff member who could change it. This was after midnight. Really disappointed I didn't get my 150 undisclosed deposit back even though I had no messes, damages etc.... in the room. Also no parking unless you pay 75 per night.

I am so displeased with the additional hotel fees. I was forced to eat a basic breakfast that I would not eat again. IT IS NOT COMPLIMENTARY IF YOU MAKE YOUR GUEST PAY FOR IT! I had gone to Chicago to enjoy the great food of the city not the basic "forced complimentary breakfast". The drink tickets were pointless due to the fact that I do not drink. The additional hotel fee is absolutely classless.

Staff was over worked. Elevators are a real problem. Can be a 20 min wait each direction to get breakfast. They gave us 6 waters, which is nice but does not make up for the angry staff who are tired of being yelled at all day.
