This 500 year old pub is an absolute delight. Perfectly adapted to modern needs. I can’t remember a hotel stay where the staff were friendlier or more helpful. The accommodation, in the modernised stable block, is perfect for a comfortable stay, and both our evening meal and breakfast were of the highest quality. Strongly recommended.

Perfection

Lovely place. Really nice new accommodation. Great food. Its a bit out of the way but well worth eating and staying here. A good base camp for Southend and Chelmsford.
