Check-in process was frustrating. Parking is limited. There was trash in my room left from a previous guest. They advertise a beach shuttle but make sure if you’re not getting picked up at a specific time that you call early, they don’t always answer the phone or check their voicemail. Then when the front desk employee finally picked up the phone, she said another couple had just called and she’d pick me up next, and while I was still talking she hung up on me so I ended up just walking back. My last day there, another employee tried to make me squeeze onto the shuttle with another couple, I said everyone else has made us ride separately and I don’t mind waiting, she said ok, but then when she got back she said she had to hand wash a huge stack of dishes before we left?! The beach chair they gave me was dirty and the pillow had black mold growing on it. The breakfast was ok but it starts late at 0800. Happy hour includes things like Natural Light beer. It’s a bit dingy, grimy, and rundown; my bathroom shelf was totally falling off the wall. There’s like no counter space either. There was a lot of accumulated filth around the door etc. (pics). The alarm clock just wasn’t plugged in which was weird and annoying, why even leave it there with no accessible plug? They use the super cheap, single-use motel toiletries so I’d bring your own. You can hear everything in the hallways and people just stood outside my room talking. I would not stay here again or recommend staying here.

The room was over $500 a night. For that we found the following: 1. The air conditioner split in the wall was filthy. Black sooty gunk right where the air comes out. 2. The toilet paper holder was falling off the wall so we used the spare loose roll that was on a table. 3. Not enough hooks in the bath so we pulled in a small side table to hold the towels. 4. The charger system did not work that was on a table. 5. There was NO ROD TO HANG CLOTHES. For over $500 a night. There was an old crooked armoire with shelves and loose hangers lying flat on a shelf. I hung my clothing outside the armoire hanging off it's crown molding. 6.The continental breakfast was not maintained or manned. 7. There was no milk for coffee. 8. Several bike locks were broken. 9. One bike had a flat tire that I discovered half a block away. 10. The bike my husband used squeaked so badly that we bought a can of WD40 in town to use on the bike. 11. Finally, a sad, pathetic small horrible and weird fake painting over the fireplace. Great location, clean sheets, completely and utterly run-down. Would never ever recommend it.

Beautiful new pool area

I loved everything about this hotel. It was a stay for my birthday. It was conveniently located a beautiful hotel, but upon checkout, the staff member I spoke with overcharged me for several things. I was also charged for things I did not have on my ticket and the addition to $100 smoking fee, which I don’t smoke. I work in oncology and I would never smoked a day in my life. They finally took the charge off, but they refused to take the other charge off so I said that I would dispute the charge, and she was very condescending, took the charge off, but made a note on the account and my bill saying I “refused” to pay it. It was not right and embarrassing.I would not stay at this hotel again simply because of the staff during our leave. The interaction and behavior was rather appalling, unapologetic, and it was my birthday weekend, which made it even worse. Otherwise, the hotel is beautiful.

Perfect location. Rooms are small, but a great deal of charm in this older hotel.
