The property is quaint and the staff is engaging. The location is within walking distance to a variety of shopping across a range of taste and expense. The property is intimate, with nice size rooms. There is a lounge as well as roof top entertainment space that is available to all guest.

Very nice boutique hotel with very attentive service. The only downside is that there isn’t a restaurant. But they have a nice continental breakfast and there are numerous restaurants very close.

I booked the Loutrel for a little "me time" staycation in early August. I had looked at a number of hotels in the historic district and chose this one because of the photos and looks at the hotel online. It did NOT disappoint. From the first entrance to the lobby environment including the hotel's signature "scent" I knew it was just what I wanted. With its elegant amenities, comfortable room, great service, and the overall aesthetic, this hotel was definitely the escape I needed. I forgot a couple of times I was even in Charleston (as wonderful as it is to be here!). Thank you to all for a memorable and beyond refreshing stay.
