The lobby area and room appear to be recently upgrade and both were awesome. Pool area was kinda blah. Definitely recommend this property. More gluten free options would be nice.

This hotel cost a lot for where it was located. It overlooks a bank and there is no view. Getting back into Charleston was a nightmare. Traffic was so heavy it took over an hour to drive 5 miles.

The second day stay I called the front desk to ask for an extra glass as house keeping, or so I thought, only had left one. (My bad, unknowingly I had left it on my beside table.) The woman at the front desk when asked for an extra glass, very put out, replied, “We only provide two glasses per room, how many do you need?” I responded that I’d like two, but if that was a problem, one would be fine. A few minutes later she shows up at the door, glass in hand, and hands it to me. I thanked her and shut the door. The glass, not matching the one in the room, was filthy. Dirty finger prints and smudges all over it. I took it into the bathroom and washed it out with the hand soap. It was rude service that was so unnecessary, not to mention leaving a bad taste in my mouth. A bad experience, all because of a simple request for a glass. There’s a first time for everything. It will be my last. There are plenty of other nice hotels in the area to stay.

I received a text at 11:44 pm (woke me up) stating there were children running around knocking on doors and that if this behavior was not stopped I would be fined $100.00. I texted back stating that I have no children, and now that I have been woken up I cannot get back to sleep. I received a text back stating that all the patrons received this text. My reply was they should identify the offenders and deal with them specifically, rather than sending out a mass, disturbing, and monetarily threatening text. The reply was there was only one person at the night desk which they cannot vacate. My response was that it is then very apparent there should be two employees on the night desk. The question I have is how can they fine a patron when there is absolutely no idea of who is responsible for the violation? I lost most of a night's sleep. I paid for a place to sleep for 4 nights but only received 3. I will not choose your establishment for any future stays. Very disappointing and I will certainly warn family and friends of Cambria's policy when dealing with situations such as this.
