I stayed for a week and had a very comfortable stay. Lots of restaurants and stores close by. Quick access to the interstate. Like at least one other has said, they need to get at least one ice machine real bad.

Conveniently located. Lots of restaurant options close by. Check in was easy and the young lady was very nice/friendly. Stayed one night. Good value.

Property was clean. Veds were clean. Lamp shade was damaged but functional. Tub drain backed up during a shower. No coffee on breakfast bar. Over all a clean quiet location. But coffee is important to most travelers!

Front desk staff was rude. Breakfast attendant never said a word to anyone but kept everything stocked. Breakfast itself was decent. Shower in our room had slight mold in the grout and the towel rack was rusty. if you tried to take a hot shower the water pressure dropped to almost nothing. Remote control for the TV didn't work so had to use buttons on tv which was annoyingly inconvenient. I didn't notice it until we came back to hotel at 1130pm, so didn't complain....just went to sleep instead. With front desk staff seeming so crabby and inconvenienced just by us being there I didn't bother to complain. Paid a lot of money to stay there so expect better.

This property is incredibly outdated. The room layout was very odd, and although it stated a king bed, it was smaller than a queen sized bed. The pull out couch was similar to a toddler bed. Bathroom was super small and everything was very run down and ragged. As someone who travels extensively, this had to have been the most uncomfortable bed and pillows I’ve ever experienced. I’ve stayed with this particular hotel chain before and have had great experience but this particular hotel in West Des Moines was awful. I will not stay there again nor will I refer anyone there. All of that to stay, the gentleman at the front desk was above and beyond helpful. He was friendly, helpful, prompt and just a great dude. While the amenity itself was poor, he did a great job. Maybe he will find a better place to work.

Rooms were smaller than we expected. Didn’t like the wood laminate floors. Carpet is cozier. Breakfast was good. Smoke alarm woke us up at 2:00 in the morning the first night. False alarm. The next morning early the garbage truck woke us up.

Room could have been a litter cleaner, staff good, breakfast good, and parking good. I would stay again.
