There were 3 flies in our room and we found it weird became the room smelled and looked clean. When we opened up the sofa bed at night moldy piece of salami fell out. It was late and the office staff was gone already so we couldn’t tell anyone. It was pretty gross.

Way overpriced!!! Through Expedia I paid in excess of $930 for one night. Then they hit me with another $62 fee for area taxes when we checked out. Difficult to park in their lot. So many spaces reserved for valet parking. Clearly it is geared towards young family entertainment with a large pool, which is nice however at 900+ dollars per night. It is ridiculously overpriced. Rooms are nothing to brag about. There are four too many other options elsewhere at much more reasonable pricing to ever consider this as an option.

Loved the location and the room was amazing just wish we had gotten a room that didn’t face the inner wall of staircase and could have gotten a room the looked out to view of pool area/ ocean. Bathroom was very clean and so was room. Wish it was more affordable because then we would go back again and again.

The Beach Shack is a nice spot to stay at when in Cape May. Pros : Ample parking, great location, restaurant on site, easy check in & texting abilities with front desk/hospitality/concierge, clean & nice layout. Cons : Lacks coziness for that surfer vibe theyre going for - could use more ocean/surfer artwork decor & not enough mirrors or hooks.
