Arrived at 3 o’clock one hour before check-in, was told my room was ready, but if I wanted to check in now, it would be an additional $50. So they immediately rubbed me the wrong way. Parking was extremely tight if you were even lucky enough to get a spot. And the upstairs of Harry’s the rooftop with the ocean view was closed for a private party. Which took away from the other paying guests experience. If you’re going to have a private party, you should have a private room for that. I would not recommend or stay there again.

When we arrived at the Montreal Beach Resort on 6/23 to check in, there was a fire truck in front of the building. The front desk girl said there was an alarm problem very sensitive. On 6/25 all the fire alarms went off again at the Montreal and some people evacuated their rooms. There was a smell of fire. It took the fire truck 15 minutes to get there because the alarm company didn’t report it right away as I was told by a staff member. There was no staff telling people to get away from the building. There were wires exposed in the walk ways. Our room 317 was right over the bar and band area. There were no shears on the window and patio doors so we had to close the curtains which were room darkening shades for privacy. We were not able to have the view of the ocean. I invited to people on this trip who witness this also. The pool was very dirty. We saw children wearing improper diapers that were totally swollen. They weren’t wearing pool diapers. The pool water was cloudy everyday we were there. We didn’t swim for fear of bacteria. We wanted the pool experience on our vacation. The elevators had no air conditioning. On The day we were leaving and the fire alarms went off again.There was no staff around to tell everyone to move away from the building. Everyone was very close to the building, but just outside their rooms I was charged for a resort fee, which I was not told about. I would like to get a full refund for this trip.

This resort is not family-friendly. Travelers experience loud music from Harry's rooftop bar and wandering intoxicated guests as well as those loitering in the pool area where alcohol is being served. In addition, the mattresses are very uncomfortable. I would not recommend if you are not a partier and are looking for a quiet place to stay.

The location was great! Room was very clean but was located over the roof top restaurant - when the roof top opened for service there’s little to no privacy unless you pull the drapes. The resort was full when I checked in and was unable to move to another location.

We always love coming to Cape May! Been coming to CM for a very long time. Stayed at many hotels and this is one of my favorites! Great location! Friendly staff, a restaurant and bar and liquor store attached and a great views from their sundeck. Wish the pool was open later. But beautiful sunset, saw strawberry moon setting, beautiful beach day! Coming back soon!!!

The ocean view was great. The walking path across the road is a nice feature. The attached restaurant was not so good - food mediocre at best. Service was not good. Hotel staff were great. Free parking a bonus, though the lot was small.

We liked everything about the property and the staff except for the parties at the bar that were blasting music two nights in a row. Don't have a problem with events here just too loud to go to sleep. We come to Cape May for peace and quiet.
