They had originally given us an ocean view on the 1st floor, but we didn't like it, it wasn't like the photo it showed when we selected the room, we asked for a change and they very kindly accommodated us on another ocean view with a king size bed, much better like the one we chose when booking. Very good clean rooms. Delicious food. Marcopolo's breakfast buffet needs more variety. The a la carte restaurants have very good dishes. For 3 ppl or less is better the airport transportation with the hotel, the rate is better than the taxi outside. The shops inside for jewelry and other items are terribly expensive. Overall it was a pleasant stay, we will definitely return.

It is a good property for families, overall our stay was good. They should include some more international cuisines and should not charge cleanliness tax USD 12 since the booking was all inclusive. I would give overall 3 stars.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the facility was always clean. Having umbrellas and loungers at the beach was a nice touch. The beach had a life guard that made the area feel safe. The Mexican National Guard also patrolled the beach, which made me feel safer on the beach. There was a different show to whatch each night and the performers were very talented.

While the pool area was fantastic and the servers were good, the rest of the employees were not as pleasant. Room was below average and was in need of upgrading. Food options was terrible, we stayed for 2 weeks and the food was a mess, we ate off resort than on. 1 of the restaurants was closed, while the other 2 were ok, the buffet was garbage. Entertainment was poor at the hotel and nothing happens outside after 5:00x show starts at 9:00 and they last 45-60 minutes. Will we ever come back? Not a chance!

A new, huge property is being built just feet away and is MANY stories higher than Solarus, so the entire pool area is in shade for hours of the afternoon. It was so windy for 3 days straight that sitting in the cold, with the FREEZING pool water, made enjoying the swim-up bar, or swimming at all, a non option for us. I’d highly suggest the minimum thing the property should be doing is heating their pool. Rumor is the new hotel is too close to the beach, so permits were denied, but I think that’s rumors, because they were working on it the whole time, and it’s LOUD. Too bad, because we’ve enjoyed this property for many prior trips, but not again.

This was the second time we spent my wife birthday here and both time no proper upgrades nor bottle of wine that was promised and we asked them many time I know that there was so much chip quality drinks available but a little card or something for someone birthday goes along way and both a professional front desk and management should know that better

Nice property. A little small. Front desk people unhelpful but everyone else is great. They don’t tell you anything when you check in. But you can use their 2 sister properties so be sure do that. This property has the best pool. The Royal has good entertainment and is a little bigger. You can get free drinks and snacks at the other properties. Just can’t use their dining options. There is a bus for $1 right next to hotel that takes you into the party town area. Ask the valet guy for instructions as they are super helpful. Travel guy in the office near the lobby is very helpful also. don’t expect any help from the front desk unless you drag it out of them. Also if you don’t get reservations for the 2 restaurants then just show up and you will probably get in. overall this is a nice place. There are much larger hotels in the area but I’d go here again.
