Black mold in the room in several spots.behijd the mirror,coming out, in the shower, on the silicone around the sink and shower,Room was a ocean veiw. Workers try hard, but facilty in rough shape.our friends had a much nicer room but still shows its wear. Beach area was nice, as its on the strip but the beach loungers where well used. Beach towels rough, pay a bit more for a cleaner spot. I would not stay here again.

The staff was rude the room was in bad shape as well as the hotel The shower leaked the toilet would not flush properly the sink was clogged They came to clean the room by just taking the towels but not replacing them The pool was rusted the lounge chairs were torn and badly worn out The couch in the room was so dirty the floor tiles were cracked very disgusting. The hotel didn’t look at all like the pictures Truly disappointed will not use this hotel again

We had a really pleasant stay at Hotel Cyan Resort & Spa in Cancun. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and we didn’t encounter any problems at all during our stay, which made the experience very relaxing overall. Our room faced the lagoon and had a beautiful view - definitely a highlight. The air conditioning worked great, which is a must in Cancun, and the plumbing was solid with good water pressure and consistent water temperature. ** A couple of things worth noting for future guests: complimentary bottled water is only provided on the first night. After that, you can purchase water from the mini fridge (about $7.40 CAD for two bottles) or buy it elsewhere. Also, alcohol isn’t allowed on hotel grounds unless it’s purchased from the hotel bars. The on-site restaurant was reasonable in terms of food and pricing, but they do close from 12:00–1:00 PM, which is a bit inconvenient during lunchtime. The hotel also offers airport shuttle services for around $50 USD, though we didn’t use this option ourselves. Overall, for the price we paid, this hotel was great value. It’s a comfortable, clean place with excellent staff and a beautiful views. As long as you’re aware of a few policies in advance, it’s an enjoyable place to stay in Cancun.

Definitely not the best place to stay in Cancun. I booked a king size bed room and I got 2 twin beds separate… they were able to move me in the right room at the half of my vacation. They seems not very happy to accommodate any request from the guests. Amenities are very poor! Gym (they called fitness center) it’s basically a small room with just a few machine - literally 4! Looks like was a normal room adapted as a gym. The restaurant was pretty but the service was very very slow. I ordered a steak rare and I got it on my table after 50 minutes well done. One of the day I have to cancel my breakfast because after 40 minutes waiting for an avocado toast I had to leave for an external excursion. The staff is overall very friendly and nice. My favorite was the bartender at the pool bar. For the same price I am sure you can gat a better option.

Loud traffic all night from highway, bad smell in bathroom, toilet flusher would get stuck and the water would keep running, sink would take a long time to drain, stains on couch in room, definitely needs to be updated, photos on website and advertisements is false compared to the reality of how run down and worn out the hotel is

This is the first time i have ever posted a bad review and I use Hotels.com a lot. The room and building are not in great condition. The pictures used on the site are old. We could not see through the Window in our ocean view room because it was so dirty. I washed what I could reach myself and it stayed that way all week. Furniture is pretty beat up. Night stands are mounted to and falling off the wall. USB plugs didn't work and only one outlet it the main room. cracks in walls, bathroom door that doesn't shut. Pool loungers that are ripped apart. Also, this is NOT a resort. Spa was not open and no one wants to let you charge anything to your room. I got my room for 1/2 price and I feel that even that was too much to pay.

The bathroom had a horrible odor from the drain. We covered it with a plastic bag and garbage can on top. The front desk staff were rude and not respectful. I booked a room with a balcony and got one only with an ocean view. The hotel is built like a wind tunnel- anywhere you go the wind is SO strong. Dont wear a flowy dress or bother doing your hair. This place was considerably cheaper than other options and after staying here I know why. The main light in the room didnt work, and the room does not have a large mirror like in the photos. Half of the days there wasnt hot water to take a hot shower at night.
