The hotel itself was beautiful. They are still doing some minor construction. The food was not great especially for a hotel marketing itself as a 5 star resort. There were “events” throughout the day but I wish it was made more clear where, when and for what age range activities were happening. I felt like it was too late by the time I realized there was something going on. The Ava Bay needs work. They need to keep it cleaner throughout the day and get more organized with the non-motorized sports (kayaking, paddle boards & obstacle course). It was super disorganized when we tried to participate.

went there for honeymoon with my husband we’re both young and got treated like little kids by the staff. they try to make you pay $100 deposit per every night you stay there “to not pay for spa activities etc.” you still have to pay when you want to do anything fun. the room smelled like rotten fish and the ocean as well everything around smelled rotten. the second day at the resort i got food poisoning from their food… every night there would be construction in the rooms by us and on top of us we couldn’t sleep every night we were there. for the price of this resort there shouldn’t be these things going on and everyone should get the same amount of respect! wouldn’t recommend going to this resort. when we arrived at the airport the resort was supposed to pick us up we called them they said it would take 2 hours for them to get us when we paid for them to pick us up right away. they told us to get a taxi and they’ll refund us at the resort they gave us the information and everything for it and when we tried getting our refund back they made up any excuse for us to not get it back we still haven’t gotten it back. didn’t have a great experience at this resort.

Poulete is an outstanding person to have working at this resort always had a smile on her face. Every morning she sent us daily activities and checked on us in the morning when she came In and before she went home. The whole staff and the place was amazing

The resort is beautiful so much to do. The restaurants are amazing and so is the buffet so many food options and the food was amazing. Poulete was our personal assistant while we stayed at the resort she is truly amazing. Poulete send us the daily activities and checked on us every morning and before she left to ensure everything was good.

No beach, water was brown and slimy sand. Reservations required for dinner despite website saying none needed. 100's of cabana's but for an extra charge. 95% were empty. Food in "buffet" limited. Best place was lunch near the pool with the obstacle course. Room floor was dirty. For a resort only a year old it looks old and worn. Need more pool entertainment at middle pool. Boasts 5 star resort and michelin restaurants, but experience otherwise. Abimiel at pool restaurant excellent. Carlos in Italian restaurant fabulous. Inty's fitness classes in Gym were wonderful. Had a nice relaxing vacation but would not return. Will continue to go to Punta Cana and return to the resort we have vacationed at before.

The best thing about the property is all rooms are ocean view. The food options were extremely limited and depending on which wing you were in, the restaurants are not open. The buffet is horrible at any time, breakfast, lunch or dinner! If you’re on the adult side pool area service is limited and they only focus on members. If you’re thinking about becoming a member, why would you if they’re not treating other paying guest as a priority. There’s a lot more, but I don’t have the patience in time to write overall the hotel review. Nightlife and entertainment…let’s just say the entertainment was horrible no nightlife. The owner and marketing team would most definitely benefit from checking out other resorts regarding overall resort activities, entertainment, food and everything that you would want in a resort to make this place successful. I would not recommend this hotel at this time to anyone. If you’re thinking about going to the beach, this is not the property for you!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My stay at AVA Resort Cancún was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, the service, amenities, and overall experience exceeded all expectations. The staff was attentive and welcoming, always going above and beyond to make us feel cared for. The food throughout the resort was outstanding, but the Black Iron Restaurant was the true highlight—every dish was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxury all-inclusive experience in Cancún.

Here is my honest review. I was super excited after reading others' reviews. Upon arrival, I was approached by an employee stating he was there to help with dining reservations and activities. Wrong, he was trying to sell me a membership and wouldn't take a no for an answer. This same employee began stalking me around the resort for days. If you have allergies, be warn that there are limited options for Gluten Free or multiple allergies. I was in constant communication with Concierge and Chefs in order to find food that was safe. This wasted a fraction of my worry free vacation. House keeping would enter my room more than once in one day. I found it highly suspicious that room keeping entered my room during a reservation I had for a restaurant even though they entered and cleaned my room earlier that day. It was later discovered my son's Nike sneakers and several other items went missing. I reported it and I was told housekeeping did not note finding anything after my check out. The swimming pool areas in person seemed more damaged than what's photographed. The inflatable park was burning hot to touch and should be wet every so often to avoid burns. The A/C stopped working with my first room, which is surprising for a new resort that is 5 stars. I was upgraded to a Suite which was amazing. The suite unfortunately was outdated. The jacuzzi was filthy with bird poop and other stains. There was a weird odor as well. Overall I would say it is a 4 star hotel at best.

It feels like you live in the shopping mall. The beach is practically non-existent. Very long resort, timeshare sellers attack you everywhere you go. No individuality decore, pools are cement puddles with limited animation ( activities get cancelled all the time). And Montezuma revenge awaiting you. Ice creams are good.

I would recommend this resort. I enjoyed myself at the poolside. We hung out at the adult pool on the south far end. No one hangout on the beach. The staff were great, no complaints on the staff. I was not able to get 1 hot shower. That was disappointing. Not to say there was not any hot water, because my husband did get 2 hot showers but that was all. The buffet was great, better than some restaurants. I would go back. LOVE the fact that every room is oceanfront ❤️. If you go without children stay on the south side. All the activities for the children are on the North side. We didn’t run into many children. Maybe it was the time we went. Give it a try. They will try to get you to buy into their resorts. They will tell you it’s not timeshare and it’s not but they definitely will try to have you buy. Don’t fall for the first price, they will come way down. If you like to travel (who don’t) then it’s not a bad thing. As long as it’s in you budget.

Absolutely an amazing resort, the resort is hugeee a lot of walking but that is a plus especially with all the food you’ll be eating. The resort has a golf cart service that takes you from one end of the resort to another if you don’t feel like walking. But I legit have no complaints about this place everyone was so nice and caring and I would most definitely stay here again. There’s soo much to do on the resort and so many different activities
