Staff were excellent from the front counter to service personnel. Our first room the air conditioner did not work. The service tech immediately changed our room without us even asking and helped us move to the new room. Very good breakfast as well. Room was quiet with comfortable beds. Excellent stay.

We arrived at the Best Western in Calgary around 2:00 p.m., well aware that check-in is officially at 3:00 p.m. However, the way the front desk staff handled our arrival was extremely rude. Instead of politely asking us to wait, they bluntly said no rooms were available and told us to come back after an hour. For a hotel with such a large property and an 11:00 a.m. checkout time, it’s hard to believe there wasn’t a single room ready. It’s not just about policies—it’s about how you treat your guests, and unfortunately, that was seriously lacking here.

We were very impressed with the front desk staff. Check in was easy and uneventful. The room was very impressive especially considering the room rate. We may have got a special deal, I'm not sure but I've stayed in hotels all over North America at 2 to 3 times the price of thiss one that were not as nice.
