The pillows on the bed smelled like old men. There was garbage in the bedroom. Used washcloth in the shower. Lock box was difficult to open.

Was not impressed at all with my stay at Lakeview.

The property itself was wonderful...no complaints there. The person who checked us in was not pleasant at all and had the vibe that she hated life. It wasn't a very welcoming experience. Breakfast options were great, but there were three young men (probably 20-22 years old) sleeping in the breakfast area. They were laying along long bench seats and taking up numerous spots to the point that some did not have a place to sit. I wish the staff would have done something, as they were there sleeping for over 2 hours that I saw. Fitness area and location were great as well.

Ok, so this is a bit of strange review. The hotel was nice, so were the staff …. BUT, while staying there, my daughter went to bathroom and grabbed a towel to dry off her face. The towel was neatly folded with 4 or 5 others, but when she lifted it and took a look, it had brown stains on it. No joke, she thought they might be chocolate and called my wife over … they were NOT chocolate. There were other cleanliness issues as well, though minor in comparison to feces on your towel. When I reached out, everyone was very apologetic, but literally no compensation or action taken. As I prefer feces-less towels, will be avoiding IHG run facilities in future.

The refrigerator did not work in our room. We notified the front desk and nobody ever came to check it or replace it. The phone didn’t work in the room. The shower head was moldy. The floor of the shower was slippery because it was not clean. The bed is hard as a rock. The air conditioner in the room sounded like a monster all night. Very disappointing. I will never stay at LaQuinta again.
