Very clean, I was impressed. However, the bones of the hotel themselves are not good. TV is small and in a weird place, which I didn't mind but still. Heat was on in the room when I got in and it took forever to cool off- a/c does not work well. There were two available outlets with 2 sockets each. That's it. And one of those had to go to the coffee pot in the morning! And there wasn't one near the head of the bed and I had a CPAP I needed to use. the microwave was so tiny, and only one small trash can in each room the size of my foot. The big thing, though- 22 minute wait for the front desk person to show up from wherever she went to check in. They had a number to call and it just rang into the desk. One guest had been waiting when I got there! And only the minimum of a mumbled apology. I also forgot something and called in to ask about it, was promised a call back if they had it, and no call. Showed up later anyway to check- just on a whim- yep. They had it. I'll give them a break for that, they are short staffed, but yeah. Oh, the jetted tub leaked so it was a never ending quest to keep it filled. NOT worth the upgrade.

I have used the MicroTel facilities since 2007 and they still are a go-to. Bozeman was the exception. Check-in service was almost surly. When I got to my room, there was no TV remote or desk lamp. Talking to the front desk went nowhere so I worked by the light of my laptop monitor. The next morning, I tried again to get a TV remote. The desk clerk seemed to be about 15 years old and frankly seemed a little frightened. Her response was "the manager will be here shortly." I'm 80 years old and very soft-spoken, so I am pretty sure it was not I that upset her. As I said, this was an exception, and I will book Microtel properties when they are the right choice. This experience was so off-the-wall bad, I had to comment. Thanks!

The room is clean but it was noisy since we stayed at the first floor. We have to wait for someone to check in since there isn’t a person at the front desk at all times. Check-out was easier because we just leave our room cards inside the basket at the front desk.

Lackluster stay in Bozeman

We enjoyed the hot tub and our room was fine except for the toilet not working as it should. The breakfast was disappointing, the walls were thin, and the front desk staff was not very friendly. Good customer service can go a long way when a hotel is a bit dated, but that was not the case during our stay. It felt like they were understaffed. We found it funny that they hung two identical pieces of art in our room.
