4 Day Bournemouth Break

Disappointing not to get access cards upon arrival as they had run out! Once sorted the stay was very good. Cooked breakfast was good with the exception of the sausage, just don't eat it!

Overnight stay in Bournemouth - staff were great, location was perfect, yummy breakfast, bedroom was a good size & relatively quiet. Hotel a little tired which is sad as it’s such a beautiful building, but we enjoyed our stay at a very reasonable price.

Old, faded and tired

The Norfolk Royale is a hotel that was once one of Bournemouth's most prestigious hotels but it has now lost it's sparkle and has faded into just another hotel. Upon checking in, I was advised the breakfast would be busy as they had a number of coach parties booked in. Almost all the guests were OAPs enjoying a trip to the coast. My room was a great size but very tired and in need of redecorating and updating. It was extremely noisy from the traffic until quite late. Strangely, the hotel didn't appear to have a restaurant so I was obliged to find dinner elsewhere. Breakfast was well managed by pleasant staff. My view is that the Norfolk Royale is not a hotel I would return to.

Worst hotel stay

This hotel is old might be older than Bournemouth itself and full of OAP which is not a problem but that’s who they cater for Bed was good bathroom good scaffolding not so good We stayed ten days later we had two parking charge notices £100’each two cars rang hotel nothing to do with us They have a under ground car park not managed by them which they told me when I rang to complain machine which is clever not to register car in entry then you end up paying the wrong fee and then you get the fine for over staying very clever never stay here again customers be careful rip off and no help when I rang to complain.

It was a comfortable stay, but it looks like the hotel attracts a clientèle of a different age group. There were bingo nights and entertainment happening several nights during my stay. I really enjoyed using the pool but did not eat in.
