An OK stay

I was average, across the board. When I showed up to check in early after a red eye from Ca- they told me my res was cancelled! They were friendly, but told me to get the same rate, I’d have to rebook through my travel app. Then, the first room they put me in, even though I paid for a view, assigned me a 2nd fl room that was in the back & overlooked the parking lot & garbage bins. I had to ask them to move me to get me the room I paid for. I actually had a res of 2 rooms because a friend was coming to stay from another part of MA. There was nothing terrible about the room once I was there, it was all slightly outdated, but average. I selected the hotel because it was my friend’s favorite when she visits. Not my favorite, but good enough when you just need a room in a great location. It was good enough.

We didn’t have a view of faneuil hall/quincy market. Instead, we had a view of the parking garage and hotel next door. Room was dated. Bathroom door didn’t shut.

We were stuck in their elevator for an incredibly long time and had to be rescued by the fire department. When we finally got out, not a single hotel staff member was around. We had to call management to them, because the front desk (who we had called to tell we were stuck) never told them someone was stuck in the elevator. Additionally, after we first called the front desk, we never heard back from them, so we called for an update, a different employee answered, and they ended up calling the fire department because the first employee we spoke never did, nor did they even tell anyone we were stuck.

Great place near the heart of Boston. I'm from this area and my first time staying here. It was really nice to be able to walk around, hit up some bars and restaurant and come back and chill in the hotel afterwards. Nothing like Boston.

The toilet in our first room didn't work so we called down to have it fixed. The gal at the front desk said she'd send someone up. After waiting over an hour, we called down again to find a new person at the counter. The first gal ended her shift and went home. The new person seemed befuddled about what to do, stating the maintenance person wouldn't be back until the morning. We requested a new room with a working toilet, which finally happened at midnight. The person at the front desk claimed this was an upgraded room, but frankly, it wasn't much different than the first one, just shaped a little differently and much darker, as it faced the alley between the rooms and restaurant.

We stayed in a standard room on a Monday night and had a lovely view of a BRICK WALL. That worked out in our favor since the air conditioning was broken and we had to sleep with the windows open. Despite multiple complaints nothing was done for us. Otherwise, the room was fine if not a little run down and the walls were really thin. The front desk staff was lovely- just not helpful. The hotel is conveniently located but not worth the money. My family dubbed this the “Bad Vibes Hotel”- we will not be back

Great stay with great employees!

Room had balcony and full windows on two sides with views of downtown. Good size with large bathroom. Tv in room was not working except with subscriptions. They waved fees and gave a discount!
