"Beautiful Resort"
We had a wonderful first time experience at the all inclusive Secrets Montego Bay. However, with it being our first experience and our Honeymoon, we did have some things we would change. We told everyone up front that it was our Honeymoon yet never received a banner like the other rooms to congratulate us. We also were clear up front that we had never been to an all inclusive resort before and would really have benefited from a tour or some additional time with the staff. We would go down to the front desk to ask questions and they would look at us like we were idiots. I think if we had gotten a tour or some additional time with someone to explain a little more about the property and what to expect, we would have felt more comfortable overall. The service staff was all friendly and welcoming so that did assist with making us feel more comfortable through the week. For a first time experience though, I was a little disappointed in the front desk staff for not setting us up for a smoother transition. We also were informed that the travel to and from the airport was included in our reservation and yet we had to pay out of pocket for both of those trips. We also were told that the small sail boats and kayaks at the resort were included in our package, yet the Water Sports staff tried to have us pay $20/ each for both of these experiences. In some ways, we felt like we were getting taken advantage of by the staff.

"Nice hotel and grounds. "
The food was typical all-inclusive food. Not great; not terrible. We did have an issue one night that caused us to have several trips to the bathroom. The staff was mostly friendly but not very quick. View is terrific, beach is small but private. Only a couple of the bars have top shelf liquor; the rest you better have a good buzz before drinking. Red Stripe is crap and is all they have for beer at most places. One bar has Heineken and Miller lite. Oh well. We never had issues with room service or maid service. Our room was clean, cool and had a great view.

"Beautiful ocean view. Very authentic hotel feel. "
This was our first time visiting Jamaica. Our experience could not have been any better. In a short week's time we were lucky to visit some of the most beautiful destinations including YS falls, Black river, Dolphin cove and of course the sandy warm beach along the Montago's Bay's Coast. There's so much to do and experience in Jamaica we'll definitely be booking another trip. Highly recommend for adventure seekers!

"Idlers Rest-a peaceful Jamaican hotel"
The hotel really looks like the pictures posted. The staff are kind and welcoming, happy to share their island and knowledge with you. The water is calm and warm-no big rocks and we experienced little plant life. The beach was raked every morning. The food was delicious, and they altered their regular eggs for our son. The kitchen staff quickly learned our preferences. Also, breakfast on the Caribbean every morning!! The manager came looking for us when we got caught in a rain storm one evening! This is not an American hotel, so if you are looking for that, you would be disappointed. However, if you want to experience rural Jamaican life, this is the place. Wifi is not available in the rooms and it is spotty, but I had a stunning patio to email friends from. Towels are thin but clean. Beds are comfortable and the room was clean. The beach would benefit from lounge chairs, but they provided beach towels. Not many right angles in this hotel and it is a bit rough, by North American standards, but it is charming. It is very quiet, we were the only guests for the first 2 nights. It is in the middle of the country, you will need a car or a driver. The hotel arranged a great driver, David-highly recommend him. He stopped in the Middle Quarters for Pepper Shrimp, fish from a road side stand on the way to Negril, fresh coconut on the way to YS Falls, and many jerk places. We never would have stopped at these places on our own. If you want to visit a quiet, non-aggressive Jamaica.

"Excellent Return Trip"
My wife and I stayed at Sandals South Coast from October 29 – November 4. This was our third trip to South Coast and fifth trip to Sandals in Jamaica (two other times were at Sandals Ochi). We reserved a Penthouse Club Level room, but were delighted to be upgraded to a Junior Suite which offered an updated décor. All club level rooms include the Club Sandals Concierge service (they have an office in a nearby building where they will arrange reservations, print boarding passes and offer to help with anything you need), a stocked bar in the room with refrigerator and room service. We used many items in the refrigerator (beer, bottled water, juice, wine and champagne. It was restocked every day. We were checked in by McKayda in Club Sandals. She called several times during our trip just to ask if we needed anything. She also recognized us days after checking in and knew our names. She was very helpful and professional. Every part of the resort is kept up very nicely with well-tended gardens and constant cleaning, painting and maintenance. The flowers are spectacular. The beach is nearly a mile long and was never crowded during our stay. It is raked several times a day to keep it clean and inviting looking. The beachfront has been improved since our last stay. The Jerk Shack restaurant in on the beach (improved seating and the additional wait staff since last year) offers Jamaican jerk style chicken, pork and sausage – all excellent. The food is good at all of the rest

Bluefields is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Bluefields, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Bluefields hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
