What an amazing stay . Rooms always clean and cleaned everyday . Special thanks to Lucia holly shannon miren Dave and John. Made the experience soo much better and their service level is impeccable. Had such a good time I will be booking again very soon . Thanks big blue :)
Clean and modern hotel - only 1 issue:
Because we booked with Expedia, the receptionist embarrassedly informed us, overnight parking was £20 (!)
- yet for the customer in the check-in queue before me, parking was £10, as they bought their room on the Hotel's website.
- this seemed incredibly unfair.
As it happened, we were able to street park for free, a little way down the road.
overall this is a nice hotel, clean and pleasant staff, the room backed on to the rollercoasters so was quite noisy earlier in the morning and late afternoon. they also let themselves down with their extortionate £20 a night carparking fees even if you have a blue badge!

Poor family place to stay
Full of children running around till early hours of morning and guests either side and above constantly banging all through night and shouting etc. some sort of football event on and parents drunk and kids running wild
Multiple time stay . Great rooms fantastic WiFi . My son’s favorite hotel . Reasonably priced compared to the rest of Blackpool which is a rip off . Breakfast mega busy but good selection of food well cooked
I was really happy with blue hotel it was u fortunate pleasure beach was closed but enjoyed hotel. The staff were very friendly and cautious. Also refreshing water at reception
Very good hotel. Great if you are going into the Pleasure Beach. Great things to enjoy if you have kids, such as a gaming console in the room. Only bad thing is, I would say its a bit dated.
Upgraded me free of charge last minute to a deluxe room with balcony park view, staff are amazing, room is amazing, a theme park fans dream waking up to the coasters testing right past your balcony, sitting with a morning coffee watching them test, rooms are silent unless you open the doors so dont worry about noise, thank you so much!
We've stayed here a number of times. But this time we where disappointed. Tuesday morning when trying to have a shower. It was unbelievable hot and extremely dangerous. I rang down to reception to air my concerns. The next morning Wednesday shower still the same. If we didn't have two others rooms me And my husband wouldn't of been able to shower. When checking out Thursday. I had to complain wish i don't like doing. But was grated with oh dear sorry about that. Very disappointed respond. Not a happy customer.
The heating was not working in the room .I was told i would be moved to a different room but it did not happen. When you pay £250 for two nights you expect the hotel to be fine .
Hotel was great and perfect for what we needed as a family of three. The staff where helpfull and polite with excellent customer service.
The room was clean and well maintained, and just the right size for us. The hotel is perfectly located, with the Pleasure Beach just round the corner, and a tram station two minutes walk away.
The breackfast was good quality and tasted fantastic, the hashbrown bites where a hit with all of us.
I would highly recomend this hotel to anyone.

Family Room? Check available Facilities, Check in
I paid Extra for the Family room facility for our 7 Year Old. Once we got to the room there were no accessible childrens channels available on the TV's, though there were 'Adult' channels listed???. Also the Playstation instructions were not clear on the sticker above the machine. We were not told at check in that we needed to Hire games/DVD's at check in. When we obtained a game after complaining, it did not load, at this point we gave up. Our child ended up staying in the big bed with us as he could not fall asleep to the TV, negating the additional cost for the facility. I have stayed at the big blue previously and these Services need seriously updating now. Dissapointed.
Stayed 2 nights, wasn’t impressed that they charge £20 per night for car parking when it’s there own car park, room was lovely but the bed was rock hard, we both struggled to sleep. Unfortunately it’s the last time we will stay there.
