First room was dirty and sewage was backed up into the bathroom sink. Smell and looked horrible. Was allowed to move but new room was on interstate side which made sleep almost impossible. Vending machines were broken so no cold drinks. Breakfast pancake machine out of order. Had cold cereal and small actives yogurt. Very limited selection. Eggs were pre made and refrigerated. Appeared to be dry and discolored. Overal the worst experience in years.
The room was clean. Absolutely love that i cpuld adjust the temp in my room and was able to use the continuous fan for white noice. Breakfast was so-so. Pancake machine broken. Still tasted good.
Generally, the room was all right. Had a bit of a hassle checking-in, but generally fine. My biggest was complaint was that I killed multiple cockroaches in the bathroom. I know it's Alabama and the climate is conducive to this type of insect, but you always expect better and to not have this problem in some place you are paying a great deal of money to use, especially when there are children in the room.
Found this great spot just a 25-minute scenic motorcycle ride from the Barber Museum.
The staff were all super friendly and helpful. While it's an older hotel, the rooms and property are well-maintained and spotless.
The area has plenty of food options, including the excellent Flying Biscuit for breakfast.
We were very happy with the fair price and location and would definitely stay here again.
The front desk was very kind and helpful. When we first got out room, the toilet wasn't quite clean, so the front desk gave us a different room. Very clean and comfortable.
The room had a wet, mildew smell. They dont tell you it's a $100 hold on your card until you get there and it takes 5-10 business days to get it back on top of the payment for the room.
Property was decent. Stayed here years ago and this time you can tell the owners have changed. Nothing against the owners but certain things were not available as before.
We did not stay because the odor in the facility was overwhelming. It was clearly very moldy and housekeeping was using strong air fresheners to cover the smell. We got nauseous and headaches by just walking into the hotel. The staff was friendly but I lost my money by canceling the day of, despite paying for trip insurance. Haven’t figured that out yet.
