Close to The Barefoot Trail

The room and linens were clean. The bathroom was clean with no evidence of mold. The staff was very friendly. Felt safe there. The continental breakfast was not my favorite-not a fan of powdered eggs. It was very close to the Barefoot Trail, which was the reason we came up, so the location was great. Definitely would recommend.

When I checked in at the (11:05 p.m.), I had a major problem with my initial room (101). The smoke alarm was beeping. I alerted someone immediately. They said it would be fixed within 10 minutes. I kept going back to remind them every 20-30 minutes to request it be fixed OR to be moved. Almost 3 hours later after listening to the smoke alarm's loud beep every 25 seconds, I was moved to another room (205). At 2:50 a.m. the day after I arrived I was finally in a different room, a downgrade from what I prepaid for. The room was NOT up to the standards of what I requested! Then when requested the room be serviced, that was a joke. The towels were replaced, I think. Or maybe just folded and replaced. The trash emptied and that's all. The sink was not cleaned. I don't think anything was wiped or cleaned. I didn't expect the sheets to be changed, but I DID expect the bed to be tidied up and made, it was not. The breakfast provided was subpar. The sausage was not fully cooked and swimming in greasy water. The eggs were undercooked also. The juices were watered down. Breads were stale. This was not anything at its '"best." This was more like Motel 6.

Have stayed at this Best Western Hampton Inn 4 times, so far. I stay there because it breaks up a long drive. The staff is friendly, it is apparent. There is a Mcdonalds and a small store next door and gas. Quiet. Pet friendly. Outdoor patio. I could drive straight thru, but its quiet and the beds are great. Decor is nice. Worth the break in long drive. Worth the price.

Not exactly what I expected

Girl at the front desk needed more training. I had selected pay at hotel. I reserved the room with one card but when I got there decided to pay with a different card when they charged me they used the first card not the card I gave them when I got there to pay. They don’t clean rooms until after the 3rd day. Shower wasn’t very clean had brown stuff around the drain.

It was frustrating; the address on the Expedia confirmation was not accurate and took us 20 miles out of the way. The handicap room was not equipped with a shower bench.

For being as new as it is, the hotel’s front door was broken, my room a/c unit was loud and ran constantly, the tv was nice, but static ruined anything we tried to watch (it was on all channels). Breakfast was definitely the worst I’ve ever had at a Best Western. The desk person doubled as the breakfast attendant. She tried, but it just seems the hotel was not being kept up on a material level.

Great stay! A little in the middle of no where but safe, quiet, and clean. The breakfast was great. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed staying here and driving into the downtown area.

The room layout was strange. No closet, but can clearly see where it was. Large area between the bed and TV, but super tiny bathroom, especially the sink vanity. Mirror by the door was not clean and either the room had been converted from smoking or guests have definitely smoked in the room, smoke smell. Clerks checking us in and out were very nice and helpful. Didn't eat breakfast, but the coffee was mostly water.
