Nice clean property with comfortable beds. The included breakfast was excellent. Location was very walkable for anything around the wharf area and public transporation is very easy in Bergen. Overall, a great value.

Quiet, clean hotel a stone's throw from Bryggen

We stayed two nights at the Thon Hotel in Bergen and couldn't have been happier. Car parking (for a fee) was very convenient and check in was speedy. The room was large, very comfortable and clean. It backed onto what looked like an office block, so was very quiet. The buffet breakfast was incredible too, with lots of healthy options and treats. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if visiting Bergen!

The pictures aren’t accurate. The view is not what it looks like on the website. If you’re on floor three or four, there is no elevator. Parking is limited and food in the restaurant isn’t great.

We liked the location of the propeety. On the day of departure the breakfast buffet was supposed to open at 6:30 am. On the morning of departure we were told that summer hours were in effect and the breakfast wos not available until 7am. We had made plans based upon breakfast at 6:30 and the later start messed up the whole morning. Otherwise the hotel was great

Great location and staff was very helpful. Room was smaller than the cruise ship cabin we had, but it was sufficient and loved the heated floor in the bathroom. Easy to walk to the hotel, with luggage, from the cruise ship. And easy walk to shops and restaurants.

This is one of the two hotels I stayed in Bergen. I have to say that this is by far the more superior choice than Skostredet. The room (including bathroom) is much more spacious; breakfast much better; service from front desk staff to dining room staff all consistently provide a warm, welcoming and helpful demeanor. During my 3 night stay in Bergen, this is where I felt the Norwegian hospitality. And oh, the rate is much more reasonable than other places with similar amenities and services.

I had a great time staying here, my room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, fresh, great quality and a lot of options. The location is superb, near the fortress and the museum.
