The area is extremely convenient to fish market, and to most of the surrounding tourist areas. Good location but the hotel was packed, breakfasts were chaotic, rooms were very small. I would give a shout out to the hotel that they gave us our room as soon as we arrived in the morning. Fantastic!

Hotel in itself was fine...the only thing was that in asking directions to the cruise terminal, having given the correct address , I was given directions in the complete opposite direction, thus cause a great deal of energy wasted and enhanced anxiety, which at both my age and that of my companion...both energetic ladies of 83....hence this put both our noses out of joint.

Great location

The location of the hotel is excellent. We walked to every thing we wanted to do. We even walked from the train station with luggage without a problem. The only downside of the hotel was that there was no AC. The temp outside was only around 70 Fahrenheit but our room was hot. They gave a small fan but that didn’t cut the heat enough to make it comfortable

Great hotel and location.

The location is amazing and makes this hotel the spot you should highly consider! The bathroom is itty bitty but all the bathrooms but they utilized it well. They did not have AC similar to all the shops and other hotels. So the temperature could be an issue if you are unlucky and it’s a rare 80 degree day. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Food was way better than I would expect.

There is no fridge or kettle, ventilation is poor, and booked room service was missed a couple of times. The room faces outdoor ventilation noise, making it impossible to open the windows. Nighmare to stay in summer.

When booking for 2, I would choose 1 level above standard Queen room. Excellent front desk. Location on harbor amazing. Excellent breakfast buffet.

Great breakfast and location. Having said that, because it’s in the heart of Bergen it is quite noisy. Also, there is no A/C. Room 701 was extremely hot and only a fan was provided. Rooms were clean and newly renovated.

Great location

The location of the hotel is perfect for walking to all the major sites and restaurants. The breakfast is outstanding but can get a little crowded at times. We were traveling during the summer and there is no air conditioning available. With temps between 60-70 F it was still difficult for the room to be cool enough to sleep in, even with a fan

The Scandic Torget was in a great location. The interior could do with some refurbishment. Our room was very small but the windows didn’t all open and they were in poor condition. The choice at breakfast was excellent but sometimes it was hard to get a table, and there were long queues for the tea and coffee machine - only one had ‘fancy’ coffees.

Great hotel, but no AC

Stayed at the Scandic Torget two times on a recent trip. Have stayed at the Torget several times in the past in non-summer months, and didn't realize that the hotel has no AC. On both stays, the weather was quite warm and our hotel rooms were even warmer - and no way to get a breeze through the room. The hotel staff was sympathetic, but they didn't have enough fans to lend. So, we endured a total of 3 very warm nights. Everything else about the hotel is lovely - good breakfast, helpful and informative staff, perfect location in the heart of Bergen, and great rooms for non-summer stays. I will definitely stay at the Scandic Torget when we visit Bergen again in December, but I'll find another hotel for summer visits.

Great breakfast and the overall room was great. However, the entire building was hot and our room in particular seemed to be overly hot as well. The thermostat didn’t even work. Granted, there was a hot spell of 29 in Bergen during our stay, but a working fan or a working thermostat would have been appreacited.

Very close to tourist sites and dock where cruises let assemblers off so crowded and loud at times. Shower head mechanism broke so couldn’t move it up and down and no one available in weekend to fix it -very odd for a hotel. Otherwise fine.
