Rooms were a bit old and you have to get new towels from the main building.

I like the old school feel the property has. Upon arrival we were told that the property was under new ownership and things were different. We needed to wait until exactly 2pm to check in and could not use the amenities until we checked it. This was different for the past.

The location was great. It was right in historic Durango. But the room was small. No microwave. We asked for a tub, it had a tub the the stopper didn’t hold water. We wanted to use the hot tub and it was out of order the entire trip. The breakfast was poor. I wanted some hot tea in the morning and no tea, only coffee. We decided to leave early because we didn’t like the hotel at all. But no refund for early departure. I would not return.

Staying at the Rochester was a highlight of our trip. The staff is incredibly helpful and nice, the accommodations are comfortable, clean, and conveniently located a block from downtown Durango. The outdoor garden space was our favorite shady hangout spot to sip on the delicious cocktails and mocktails from the bar.

Hotel is right at the center of the city. Rooms are clean.

Even though there was a large fire burning just a few miles from the hotel, management would not allow us to cancel our stay. I understand that their business was being impacted by things outside of their control, but it feels unethical to not allow guests to cancel when they have safety concerns. Just a fair warning for those booking with them

Amazing staff.

New- Parking fee $10 plus 4.47 tax per day, was not acknowledged upon booking reservation. Kitchen utensils limited, no ice bucket, the view terrible, we were looking at satellite dish, ladders, service area.Breakfast was adequate but not as good as it used to be. No potatoes, boiled eggs. It was a satisfying but not like it used to be to be. Be going there over 30 years or more.
