Staying at the Rochester was a highlight of our trip. The staff is incredibly helpful and nice, the accommodations are comfortable, clean, and conveniently located a block from downtown Durango. The outdoor garden space was our favorite shady hangout spot to sip on the delicious cocktails and mocktails from the bar.

We absolutely loved our stay.

This is an elegant hotel in the period style with all the amenities that you would want for a couple's weekend or stay in Durango. It is good for families, but the majority of guests appeared to be couples and took advantage of the 3 restaurants/bars in the building, as well as easy walking distance to all places downtown. Very comfortable rooms, a beautifully decorated hotel, amazing staff, and well-maintained. Reserved parking next to the hotel for easy access and traveling.

Everything was on walking distance especially the Silverton train ride.

We stayed in a lovely suite. We were able to text with any questions we had. Everything was clean and the suite beautifully decorated

This place is run down and dirty/ poorly maintained. We checked in and immediately left and Expedia and the hotel kept our money. I have photos - paint splattered everywhere - dirty mattress corners, hair in the tub - every wall and fixture beat up. Ac sounded like a freight train. Someone’s shampoo left in the shower. For ~ $200 a night - unacceptable. Do not book here!
