A great stay with a booked taxi airport trip quest

Very clean and modern hotel. Walking to the main attractions. Checked out day was 09/04/25 Thur, Hotel front desk helped to pre booked taxi, which came on time, at 8:20 am, and the driver was walking over to hotel lobby to warmly greet us. The only concern was, at the end of trip to airport T1, the taxi meter showed was 35 EUR ( which was the est price told by hotel front desk), he added supp over 9 EUR, we paid total 45 EUR. Was it a common practice or just because it was a pre booked trip ? If it’s possible, Someone from hotel can reply this message. Thanks a lot.

Quick stop in Barcelona and this place was perfect. Great aesthetic, clean and spacious room, nice bath with fluffy towels and comfortable bed. Staff was super friendly although we did not need them for much more. Had room with a view of and easily walkable to Sagrada Familia but also other local sites and restaurants.

I'd stay here again

Loved the room decor. I want the green bathroom door!!! Clean, plenty of space. Breakfast was great. I'd stay here again. Short walk to many must see attractions. Very safe. Very close to high-end shopping.

I absolutely loved my stay at Room Mate Carla in Barcelona. My first room had a balcony overlooking Carrer de Mallorca, the main street just a short, scenic 7-minute walk from Passeig de Gràcia. The room itself was spotless, incredibly comfortable, and—best of all—surprisingly quiet. It almost felt like we were the only guests in the hotel, which was such a welcome contrast to the busy, tourist-packed parts of the city. The peace and privacy, combined with the charm of the neighborhood, made me fall in love with this place. I enjoyed it so much that I booked another night after returning from Greece. However, the second stay was a bit of a letdown—this time I didn’t opt for the balcony room. The view was disappointing, the A/C was louder, and the overall vibe just wasn’t the same. Lesson learned: the balcony room is 100% worth it. One thing to note: check-in time is strict. We arrived early at 8 a.m. and even offered to pay extra to access the room for a nap, but they wouldn’t accommodate us before 3 p.m. Despite that, I’d still return in a heartbeat—just with the balcony room next time!
