Aside from parking being a bit of a pain (a couple blocks away, but the hotel is on a pedestrian only street), this is a great hotel. A couple of blocks from Barcelona Cathedral and the maze of very cool ancient side streets in the areas. The street is all fancy shopping, and the immediate area is very touristy, but you don't to have to go far to escape that. The staff had excellent referrals for very cool restaurants as well.

We appreciated the earlier check-in. At first, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, but later in the stay they were not very personable. Our VIP gift was a bottle of bubbly wine, but a tiny 250ml bottle was actually given to us--very disappointing as the expectation is a full 750ml bottle. The room had a leaky a/c unit, which got our clothes wet underneath it. It took two days for them to fix it, and left a mess on the floor (debris) after. The value for the price is poor, being over $400/night, our expectations were higher than experienced. But the location of the hotel is excellent.

Beautiful hotel in a great location with shopping and dining all around. Room was very comfortable and very clean with a great shower, comfortable beds and incredibly quiet. Staff were amazing and helpful. 5 minute walk to Las Rambla and 15 minutes to the ports. The only issue we had was breakfast. It was very big and had many options, however, the hot food was warm or cold. Maybe a one off issue but the eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes and omelettes were barely warm or just cold. We chose not to go a second time as we didn’t want to spend the money to see if it was better. There are many other options close by. A large grocery store 5 minute walk and the market was also close and great to shop.
