Good option

It’s the third time we stay there, the sauna is awful (both of them) and in need of an urgent renovation. The room are very good, we stayed in a loft with a full kitchen and it’s a great option for families. Overall the hotel is good, close to the city but not so much that you don’t rest, the bus stop is very conveniently located in front of the hotel and it’s definitely the best way to go to town (that or walking). We will probably be staying there again.

Great place to make home base in Banff

Great cabins with kitchen. Perfect for a family that wants multiple rooms. Kitchen is small but functional. Internet didn’t work the whole week we were there which was difficult. Could use a hot tub.

Tunnel Mountain Resort is a fantastic home base for exploring Banff National Park, offering a cozy and comfortable mountain retreat. It’s about a 5-minute drive to downtown Banff or a 20-minute walk if you’re up for a scenic stroll. There's a complimentary Roam bus stop nearby, making it easy to get around without a car. Accommodation: We stayed in a Mountain Cabin, which had a rustic charm but felt modern and clean. It came equipped with a full kitchen, fireplace, and even a private deck—perfect for morning coffee with a view. bed was comfortable and spacious bathroom. Service: Staff were friendly. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. Overall, Tunnel Mountain Resort strikes a perfect balance between nature and convenience. Whether you're hiking, skiing, or just relaxing, it's a great place to unwind after a day in the Rockies. While it doesn’t have luxury hotel frills, it delivers great value and convenience.

We stayed for 5 nights whilst visiting Banff. There is a bus stop outside the resort to go downtown, and reception provided us a bus pass to use. Overall the room was very comfortable, although the kitchen did lack some basic cooking items, but we got around that.

The room was very spacious and we really liked it. The only issue was the exhaust in the room stopped working and was not fixed during our stay. Also the kitchen stove top was not heating as much

We really appreciated the three beds and the kitchenette in the room. The property is nice and quiet and close to downtown. The staff at the front desk was very nice. The bathroom needs to have hooks for the bath towels.

The location of the property is beautiful- very close to a scenic overlook you can easily drive walk or bike to. Close to hiking as well. Easy 15 min walk (downhill) into Banff- be aware the wLk back would be a steep uphill and take prob twice as long but the hotel provides free public bus passes so you don’t have to deal with parking in Banff (so busy!). Bus runs every 20 min or so. The room was as described, kitchen was great for convenience with a family and to save money on eating out. Staff was very friendly and answered all questions. The location is very convenient off the highway from Calgary and close to Banff. Rates were quite reasonable, on the lower end of Banff considering you got a kitchen and in our room selection- two toilets and a bedroom plus loft with two queens beds in it. Those were our main needs. Cons were - laundry facilities were a major bummer. Only two coin machines for the entire property. That seems strange for so many rooms and a place where families often stay. One of the machine sets wasn’t working so that exacerbated the problem with many people in line and some frustration over lack of machines. Property was a little outdated, still generally clean though, although our room had a little bit of ick in the caulking around tub- but honestly most hotels do. Lots of dust on door frames and such in our room but again, generally clean and fine for knowing it’s an older property. Pool was smaller, basic, but nice for kids. Overall a good spot.
