My sister and I had an impromptu visit to Banff last week and I found the Dorothy on Expedia. It was really inexpensive and was a wonderful little motel. The staff at the Canoe where we checked in were super nice and accommodating. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We were given complimentary bus tickets to get around Banff with which was great as parking in Banff has become very expensive for day parking. Highly recommend the Dorothy.

Amazing. It’s across the street from the main hotel but it’s a quick walk to go use the hot pools there. The curb appeal is seriously lacking and I was pretty nervous when we first pulled up but was pleasantly surprised by the room itself.

It's an older property that has been renovated very nice. The doors lead directly outside - no inside hall - that could be a problem for some at -30. Pool in the main hotel across the street - very nice and has changerooms etc! Good value - they give bus tickets if the walk to town is to much (about 15-20 min at a comfortable pace)

This is the best motel you will stay at. Newly renovated with so much character and charm. Also loved the hot pools over at canoe across the road. Rocky mt soap co products in room and they smell amazing. Cannot recommend this place enough

Exceeded our expectations. Checkin was smooth, rooms are clean and modern. Also had microwave and fridge in the room. Staff are very helpful and nice. Location is quiet, away from the busy streets, but very walkable going to restaurants and shops. I love that it is situated near a 24hr Co Op convenience store and a gasoline station. We really enjoyed our stay here in Dorothy. All of us were very happy and satisfied, we would totally stay here again if we ever come back to Banff.

We weren’t able to check in remotely using the app, but it is a short walk to the Canoe hotel’s front desk to check in personally. Excellent room, very clean and comfortable.

I enjoyed my stay at Dorothy Motel. I felt safe and the staff are very accommodating. Parking was good too. Although, it was challenging for me to bring my luggage up since it only had stairs, still it was doable. It was next to the gas station and convenience store so that’s a plus point for me. Place was decent and clean. I will surely stay here again in the future.
