The room itself was relatively clean, albeit very outdated and worn. The air conditioner barely worked, had it set to 60 just to keep the room in the 70s and it was always damp. The hallways stunk of pot which also wafted in to the rooms from time to time (even though the property is no smoking). However the worst was the stairway near our room. We were on the 2nd floor and had to traverse these stairs several times during the day, and had to hold our breath to get through them. The stench of urine and pot was enough to gag you if you were unfortunate enough to get a whiff. The windows in there were screwed shut, so there was no hope of getting any fresh air. Probably the 2nd worst hotel I have every stayed at, and would never step foot in there again.

We loved our stay but there was a clogged drain in the tub the entire visit and no housekeeping. You had to put a tag on your door which no one told us about. Not a usual hotel standard so how are guests to know? A heads up when we checked in would be helpful. The room was decorated in the 1980's (Think Hyacinth Bucket in Keeping Up Appearances) - it is in desperate need of an update. The property is beautiful and the hotel has great potential - we hope they make updates or it will be a true loss. They don't make places like this anymore - it has the potential to be a treasure but feels like it has been forgotten.

The room was terrible. There were multiple stains on the carpet and chair. The bed was broken. There was chipped paint everywhere. Very small room. The staff did not care. They said they would put a towel between the bed and wall so it didn't hit the wall. The room smelled like smoke. It was a terrible experience. Managemebt did not call me back. The front desk clerk did discount the room at check out but I would not recommend this hotel. There are so many nicer places to stay nereby.

I stayed one night and the hotel was just fine. Additionally there are at least two restaurants within walking distance. And one of them is a Brown Derby, which was quite tasty. Would have no problem staying at this hotel again in the future. No complaints.

The hotel was very nice. The rooms were clean, very comfortable and quite large. One of the elevators was out of order which made getting up to my room took a bit of time. Also, the breakfast was a bit disappointing in the few items offered.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The fitness center was great. The complimentary breakfast was impeccable. I would stay again.
