The AC in the room was very loud and cycled on and off all night, preventing any kind of sleep.

It is the same hotel as the graduate. They haven't made any changes except for the name. I did not like that. I had to pay $12 a night for parking. I didn't realize that until I got there. Just add it to the room price and don't buckle and dime me. Room was fine and clean just seemed a little dated.

The place is dingy, showers orange scum, and the overwhelming smell of mildew. The room was gross feeling and the air conditioning unit was janky. I would stay at a motel 6 and feel better about the place.

This was the worst experience. 1) They didn't even offer a bottle of water when I arrived there at midnight. Ok. I will buy it. 2) There were ants in my room!!!!!!! I was transferred to another room passed midnight because of it. No apologies or anything from the host after.

Not at all what I expected

I was very excited to try this hotel based on the web site pictures but boy, was I disappointed. The room was fine, nothing special, but what was big surprise is that this hotel is set up like a motel, with the rooms surrounding a parking lot. I had to walk upstairs with my suitcase to get to my room and the lobby was down a long driveway. The restaurant closed at 10pm which wasn't ideal as I had a late arrival and was starving. The tiny shop in the lobby was closed upon arrival and the front desk was extremely slow. Once inside the room, it was very sparse with not even a glass to have some water. I will not be returning.

Out of hot water by 9:00 AM each day. The only heater was by the window so the heat never got to the bathroom. Not nearly worth the price that we paid for this. Will never stay here again.

This is a very well located motel close to downtown (formerly the Graduate). The rooms/lobby have a very fun/funky aesthetic. Noise from guests on the breezeway was a minor issue. No barista Sat am; they should evaluate this and see how much $ they lost as there were 40-50 creamers in the bin... Our shower soap pump didn't work at all; we used shampoo. We went to the Foundry for a bite before going out and that seems like a very cool venue. This is an older (think window/below window \unit ACs) motel that has worked hard to make the vibe funky-at least on the room interiors. The stairwells/breezeways could stand some sprucing up. The "fitness center" is a Peloton, 2 elliptical machines and a treadmill and a rack of dumbells. Fine for my Peloton wife but I worked out elsewhere.

I like this hotel a lot. However I did not like the added parking charge which I did not know about. And there was no television service which was totally unacceptable. And the coffee bar was not in service one of the days .

We stayed here prior to a U Ga campus tour. On the website the hotel was advertised (and in its online photos) to be similar to a Graduate Hotel property with an Athens/collegiate vibe - which is what it was previously. However, it’s not newly remodeled nor has eclectic decor as described. It’s also a bit of a hike to the campus, which was disappointing. The website made it sound like it was a short walk. The hotel lobby and lounge/restaurant area with the brick exterior is cute but the rooms are motel style, facing the outside and look outdated. Ice machine was broken and our room looked like nobody had stayed there in a while - a bit dusty/cobwebs, remote control to the TV didn’t work, bathroom amenities like body wash needed restocked etc and it just felt overall drab & unappealing. We had just stayed at a Graduate property in another city which was fresh and vibrant, with clean, spacious rooms and impeccable decor - unfortunately Hotel Abacus was far from this.
