Having enjoyed staying in this hotel in the past, I was very disappointed by the poor service for our evening meal.
we waited one hour fifteen minutes for our meal, despite the dining room being only one quarter full.
The menu when this hotel was a Best Western was excellent. under the new management it is very limited.

Hard to fault this place so I won't nit pick as I could fault it anyway. Excellent all round and the rather unadventurous burger I decided to eat wiped the floor with any burger I have ever eaten. Already planning trip back to area in December 2016

We recently stayed at L'hotel Particulier Arras and had a wonderful stay. We were met by the owner who was very gracious and showed us around the hotel and the secure parking facility (which is across the street and is an additional 15 Euros per night). There is free parking available a couple blocks away. The building is absolutely beautiful and the gardens are lovely as well. Breakfast was included in our rate and was fresh, plentiful and delicious (fresh breads, jams, coffee, fruit, eggs...). It was especially nice that the dining room overlooks the floral gardens in the back. The bed in our room was a king and fitted with comfortable linens. There is a code that you use to access the building which was nice to have as added security although we felt very safe and comfortable in Arras regardless. Overall, we cannot recommend L'hotel Particulier highly enough. It was wonderful.

Interesting building, we were told it is the oldest on the square. The hotel doesn't have private parking but you can park on the square and streets opposite. However the parking ticket machine doesn't accept British credit cards and we found it difficult to work out the times and costs.

"Excellent stop over spot on the way back to Calais"
Fortunately checked my emails before arriving as there was an email with all the details of how to check in so when we arrived it was really easy. The address given wasn't on SatNav so managed to find co-ordinates which worked. Lots of shops in the immediate vicinity with an excellent hypermarket and plenty of places to eat. Basic hotel and room but excellent value for money, excellent sized family room and exactly what you need on a stop over. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at the Balladins, Arras whilst following the Tour de France. This is definitely a budget hotel but not as bad as previous reviews would lead you to believe. It is very easy to find from the main AutoRoute, with plenty of free, secure parking. We ate dinner in the hotel - mainly because the weather was atrocious and we didn't want to get a taxi into the town. The meal was fine, freshly prepared and reasonable value for money. The house wine was very good and the waitress was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast the next morning was good value, plenty of choice and a reasonable price for a French hotel. The rooms need updating but everything was clean, plenty of towels and fresh linen on the bed. This would not be our first choice of hotel but certainly acceptable for a one night stopover.

Exceptional staff who waited for us as we were late for check in. Lovely view from our window of the Place d'Heroes. Still hard to manoeuver the flights of circular stairs with luggage so be prepared. Rooms are small but clean and the bed made for a restful sleep. I would return.

Arras is justifiably famous for its two stunning town squares. These opulent spaces speak of Arras's history as a major trading center: the town hall is a fine example of 16th century Flemish gothic architecture. La Place des Héros has a bustling Christmas market and the citadel plays host to the Main Square music festival every summer. Many visitors come to pay their respects at the Vimy Memorial.
