Racist

I am mixed-race American. When you do not fit into the binary of Black &White..people constantly question you. Someone once said that asking, "Where are you from is a polite way to say that you do not belong." And it just does not come from White people. Earlier this year I was at the Meijer on Ann Arbor- Saline road and spoke to someone who identified as Black. She said the most racism she got was from other minorities. One day, I was in the local TJMaxx and a chocolate skinned person (I don't want to assume race but he could have been Black) asked me what nationality I was. When I said American..he asked, "American and so dark?"  Recently, two brown skinned men with thick accents at the local Salvation Army came up to me and asked if I was Mexican-American. I said, "No, but I am Native American." One of them said, "Well, we are ALL Native American.."  Then finally an uber driver from another country said, "You speak perfect English..but your color/face is different..where are you from?"as we almost crashed into the car in front of us. Like a lot of these racist people Isaac asked me in rude way, "Where are you from?" He was basically trying to figure out why I was not White. And making me feel that I do not belong. He needs to understand that brown people, Native people, and mixed- people are American. Maybe these people including Isaac are not American or feel that they are not American enough- but just because they feel that way does not make me less American.

They overbooked the property so I was stranded for 3 hours at midnight without a hotel room. While waiting in the lobby on hold with Expedia to find a solution, three families came up to front desk asking for towels. The clerk said they had to wait until morning when house keeping arrived. Lobby was dirty. Stay away.

Facility was overbooked and one of our rooms with 2 double beds was not available. They did have a room with a king size bed but did not make clear at first that it was available. The staff was not as helpful as they might have been. Our stay was Ok but could have been better. This facility is also in need of an upgrade.

Terrible breakfast and terrible shower!

They said they were overbooked on double beds, and so I got a king room instead. That worked for me. But I heard other people complaining as they were checking in after me. No bath mat, many holes in the towels. At the breakfast, there was not much variety at all. Both the orange juice and apple juice came out as water. I put my bagel through the toaster conveyor belt five times, and it never even got lightly toasted. I thought that was all bad enough, until I was in the middle of my shower and tried to get some shampoo out of the dispenser on the wall. All three dispensers were completely bone dry empty! The only toiletries that had been provided were a small bar of soap and a small container of moisturizer. So I found myself with no shower supplies whatsoever! They said I could have 50% off if I stay there again, but that’s not going to happen.

Where do I start....this is a disgusting hotel. Dirty, smelly and just a terrible excuse for a hotel. This owner is milking his/ her ivestment with no renovations. I paid around $260 for 2 nights, including taxes. This place is worth $20/night. Just a gross hotel.

Property was overbooked so they gave us a room that should have been off market. Why? The room had no TV, no phone or alarm clock, the bathroom was dirty and the air conditioner was broken only blowing hot air. The carpet had lumpy spots in it and we ended up sleeping in our car. I want my money back

My room and the whole property was dirty. Police were onsite everyday of the week. Toiletries were not automatically replaced. Key pad kept forgetting my room key so i had to renew it about 5 times. None of the vending machines work. The fitness center is not safe. The whole property smells.

The blood stain on the carpet wasn't as gross as the crusty splooge on the chair. The air conditioner was on a timer plug that cycled it every 2-3 minutes, and it couldn't keep up with the heat (was only high 80s). On top of that, the AC blows directly on the bed, so it's a constant cycle of hot/cold/hot/cold when trying to sleep. Might be cheaper than the alternatives, but I'll never stay there again.
