Room we were first assigned was under construction but the staff was quick to find us a different room. Lots of traffic noise (party night in Anchorage). Good continental breakfast. Contrary to review, the walk from the train station was five blocks UP hill so took more than 2 minutes.

The housekeeping team in the process of room changes had dirty linen strewn all through the hallway. Unsightly, unsanitary and unsafe. Difficult to get around it. Remote for TV did not work. Was fixed then did not work. Had to unplug TV.

Fairly rundown and needs service. The toilet in our room was for very small people. We were there four days and our room was serviced once. Desk personality seemed angry.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Entryway is not on street so we had a hard time finding it and ended up reparking 3 times. They do not include free parking (fee of $40/nite in public parking lot adjacent to hotel). Room was quiet, clean and well maintained. Area is a little odd but seems safe enough. It is free to park on the street after 6PM and on weekends. Breakfast was in big room and included coffee and pastries. The coffee cake seemed very special and like homemade. We would definitely stay here again.
