We had a great stay at Hotel Library in Amsterdam. They let us check in early, which was amazing after an overnight flight from Boston. The room was spotless, and the reception staff were super friendly. It’s also in a really central location, which made it easy to get around. Honestly can’t fault anything. Only small suggestion would be to have a glass in the bathroom for brushing teeth, otherwise, everything was perfect!

Hotel Library

A convenient location not far from the train station and close to the city centre. The concept of the library is charming. Once you stay and walk around you'll see how they were inspired for the theme of the hotel. Everything was good with the room (clean, nice toiletries for your stay, you can feel safe with luggage storage, etc.) Staff are helpful and pleasant. A quick stay for us.

The room was clean, but a bit tired looking. However, the pillows were great, and the bed comfortable. The bathroom had been updated and the water pressure was amazing. The location was great and close to everything, especially Centraal.

Ghost room, bad attitude, no refund... Just awful

Turned up having booked shortly before to be told it was impossible I made a booking for that night. When I showed the reservation, they then realised it was POSSIBLE! Maybe, they should have asked to see the reservation first before telling me I was wrong (when I clearly wasn't). Anyway, they were sold out... So, took my money, told me I was wrong (when I wasn't), failed to apologise at all (for the lack of room or for telling me I didn't make a reservation), couldn't provide a room, and I had to request a refund. Absolutely pathetic.

Great location and accommodating staff. A bit unclear what the setup with breakfast is and this was not explained, and lots of good local places to eat. There were steep stairs inside and the lift was then out of action during my staff. (of course, a feature of many similar buildings and not the fault of the property)

First, the hotel facilities, entrance, and reception are very run-down and very small. Second, the elevator is also very small. It’s common during the summer season to have air conditioning. We didn’t see any air conditioning in the rooms, nor was it specified. There is a small fan, but there's nowhere to plug it in. Then, the rooms are very small. The reception service is terrible. The reception and entrance are quite deteriorated. Third, when trying to leave today, I had several suitcases. I was on floor minus one and tried to come up with the luggage, but it was almost impossible due to the limited space. And the elevator don't work. This is definitely a hotel I would not recommend again.

The mattresses are extremely old and the mattress pad needs replacing. Iand dirt underneath the mattress on the mattress pads. Absolutely disgusting. There was mold in our bathroom around the shower doors and surrounding walls. Not sanitary whatsoever.

The hotel is 10-15 minutes from Amsterdam Central station. Easy access to the main tourist attractions along the canals. The room was clean, beds were comfortable. We used the hotel for 1 night only during a stopover.
