Obviously its old, since the whole building was old. Everything worked well, nice and quiet, just a little "faded" and worn. Personally, it was part of the charm - it felt like a real old fashioned room.

Old style building out the back of the heritage pub. Room was good in being 2 bedroom but definitely could do with an update. Eg no door between master and communal bathroom, no power switches in master bedroom etc. overall a perfectly fine place to stay and checkin was a breeze at the pub. Right on Main Street walkable to everything.

A very quaint room overlooking the Main Street made the experience of stepping back in time in Hahndorf a reality. Friendly staff and easy parking made our holiday most memorable.

Sometimes things are so bad you have to write a bad review In particular, do not book one of the heritage rooms. Not only are they tiny for the money, the fittings are in terrible condition with peeling paint and veneers. Every piece of furniture in the room past its useby date years ago. The carpet on the stairs is completely worn through to the timber underneath and if you have to leave early in the morning, the hallway is pitch dark. The rooms are bathed in light all night as the feeble curtains don't block out the outside spotlights facing the building. In short stay somewhere else!
