Nice hotel

It was a nice lobby the room was a bit of a trek to get to. The room was very basic no phone no peep hole to see outside. Not much stations in the tv for English speaking. No bottled water in the room. Not much hanging space or drawers for clothing. The car area was good and the outdoor courtyard was good to sit out in.

Convenient location, comfortable beds, blackout curtains. However the rooms were very far from the lifts. A/C in the first room was not working so we had to move rooms. No phone or coffee, tea facilities in the rooms. Showers spill water during showers (not too bad, but it will wet the floors). The floor carpet by the bathroom was wet at check-in. Unfortunately no gym / fitness facilities.

The hotel was in a great location. But, the rooms were extremely small. There was barely enough room to open our suite cases. Also, the air conditioning did not work very well.

This is my third stay at this hotel. It is a hotel I book when my usual hotels are booked. It's basic, clean and efficient. The beds are neither uncomfortable nor comfortable. Everything is "OK". On a hot day, however, the air-conditioning is really weak. I know that air-conditioning is one of the few things that the Swiss can't do right, but this bad even by that lamentable standard. With summer peak pricing, paying CHF 498 a night was bit over the top. They maybe taking their hotel a bit too seriously.

Basic amenities

The hotel is clean and comfortable and is near tram stations. Biggest concerns are that there are no complementary bottled water, no coffee machine and glasses, there does not appear to have handicap ramp at the hotel entrance and it is challenging for travelers to carry luggage using several steep stairs.

Great location. The hotel is rather large and the rooms are very exposed to the offices opposite so you either keep your curtains drawn which is not the best way to spend you time at a hotel or simply allow the people in the surrounding building to watch you. They must instals some Net curtains which allow natural light and provide a degree of privacy. The room was lovely. No complimentary water. Asked for some and was told to drink water from the tap. Well, Zürich water might be amazing but considering the price and the fact that we were not local, the hotel Should provide its guests with bottles of water. It was not a cheap hotel . Just lazy!!! Rooms located far far away in the long corridor. Some improvements are required. I think.

Beds were wonderful, room was beautiful, whole hotel was very charming, staff was polite. Stayed in a lot of hotels while traveling across Europe and this one stands out. A real gem.

I booked this hotel because it advertised AC. As it turned out, the weather was cool so management still had heat turned on. Even with the heat turned off, our room was very warm. Needed to open windows to cool room but we weren’t comfortable leaving windows open while out of room or at night.

The property is expensive for what you get. There is no desk, no bottled water, no coffee machine, no iron or ironing board, no telephone for room service, in the room and no staff to help with luggage. The breakfast buffet is basic for chf 20/person - no hot food - but considering it’s Zurich where a hamburger outside the hotel is 40 chf - probably not bad. Went to Cafe Odeon for breakfast, it was greaT, but was 110 chf for egg Benedict and Avacado toast with one sparkling water.
