Hotel was very charming. Staff was super friendly and nice. Great location, easy walking to shops and lots of restaurants. 10 minute walk to the train station. Room was a bit small, but had all conveniences needed. The only inconvenience was the whole lobby was completely closed during our stay (for some filming project). So we were not able to enjoy the lounge and sitting areas with views of the city streets from our hotel which was disappointing.

Location was great, hotel front staff were great and the hotel had a nice little courtyard and lobby area for relaxing. Room was spacious and fairly clean, various plugs didn’t work though HOWEVER, the room cleaner clearly helped themselves to our stash of strawberry creme Lindt that we got from the Lindt museum and had a spray of my partners new perfume as they left the lid off. Not bothered about the chocolate or a couple of perfume sprays, but makes you on edge about what else the cleaner has been looking through…

The Wellenberg was a very nice hotel. It is located in Old Town and about 10-15 minutes walking distance from the train station. The staff was very friendly and the room was very nice and clean. The breakfast that came with the room was excellent! A large variety of breakfast items. We would stay there again!

I really liked the guest lounge with free coffee and tea Very homey! I loved the outdoor patio and tastefully decorated rooms although some on the small side The AC is the kind vented out the window and is quite noisy . Great location in the heart of the old town .

We stayed in this hotel for 3 wonderful nights. The hotels location is perfect, walking distance to all the major sites and only 2 blocks away from a big secure parking garage. Every night we would end our evening in their lounge with free coffee, it was amazing. Their location is the best thing. It was our first of 7 hotels in the country and one of our favorites

Excellent Hotel

Our hotel stay could not have been better for our 7 night stay. The hotel itself and our room was very clean. We had a Family Room and it was very spacious by European standards. The library, family room, outdoor courtyard offered an alternative space if we didn’t want to be in our room. The front desk staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet offered a variety of options. This hotel is in the heart of Old Town and a 12 min walk to the Zurich HB main train station. There were many options for restaurants in the area. We did find the beds to be a little hard to sleep on. Overall, this is an excellent hotel. We were sorry to leave and would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is in a great location one street away from the river. There were a lot of dining options nearby and the hotel's terrace was a nice place to have breakfast outside. The room decor included a very large low chair which looked nice but was not very functional. It was in the way more than anything. :) Compared to other places, the hotel breakfast did not have many options to accommodate my dietary restrictions. Hotel staff were nice and very helpful. We were traveling with friends and we enjoyed hanging out in the guest lounge after a day out.

Awesome location and super friendly staff. The room was great with a nice view of the square and tons of sunshine. Public parking was about half a kilometer away, but I think that’s pretty normal for downtown hotels.

Very nice hotel in the old town , excellent location for walking to attractions and riverfront Arrived early so our room wasn’t ready but were able to access the guest lounge to freshen up and have tea or coffee Breakfast was very good, lots of options Nice outdoor area to sit Room overlooked the street but not noisy Did have rooms at the back overlooking the courtyard so they would be quiet too Would recommend this hotel

Consider your room category as the standard rooms are small but comfortable. Bathrooms are on the older style step-in shower & curtain. My room needed some maintenance plumbing and light bulb replacement. The coffee machine occupy the small desk and no room to work other than moving it into the cupboard with the bar fridge. Some painting maintenance needs to be done to improve the appearance. Breakfast is a basic continental. Location is good and central. With improvements could be rated 4star.

Wonderful Boutique Hotel in the heart of Old Town Zurich. Incredible restaurants and entertainment literally all within 100 M. If you are a light sleeper may be a challenge because the folks of Zurich party deep into the night. We happened to be there for there celebration of spring which brought added excitement and added noise!!! Wonderful experience overall!!
